Weekend 1

Get your Squad into the battle and unlock exclusive content during Weekend 1.

Maps

During the Beta, you'll get to play maps set in iconic locations around the world. Each map has different combat zones. Combat Zones are hand-crafted configurations within the maps that maximize quality under a variety of modes. For example, the Conquest version of Siege of Cairo would include the area used in the Team Deathmatch version of the map. However, the placements of objects, how destruction is used, and other factors will differ when playing that same area in Team Deathmatch.

The team has taken great care to ensure that Combat Zones feel notably different so that each playspace fits the mode you’ve selected when it comes to scale, intensity, and tactical options.

Siege of Cairo: Prepare for intense urban combat on the streets of central Cairo, where combat is a game of cat and mouse between infantry and tanks. Fight in alleys, duck in and out of buildings, and always watch your six.

Liberation Peak: Welcome to Tajikistan’s glorious mountainside. This vast rocky terrain provides cover for jets and helicopters during aerial dogfights, or a height advantage for infantry and tanks.

Iberian Offensive: Sprint through Gibraltar’s winding streets, stalk its alleyways, dodge heavily-armored tanks, and tear through buildings – this map has many ways to secure a tactical advantage.

MODES - INFUSED WITH BATTLEFIELD DNA

All of these modes have been designed to be elevated by Battlefield’s fundamental design pillars: classes, squad-based gameplay, and a hell of a lot of destruction.

Conquest: Conquest is Battlefield’s signature all-out war experience, where tanks, jets, and attack helicopters turn the tides of battle. Two teams fight to control multiple key objectives spread across the map. Holding more objectives steadily drains enemy lives, and the match ends when one team’s lives hit zero.

Every action counts. Capturing points, reviving fallen teammates, and eliminating enemies all impact the tide of battle. Revives are especially crucial – each one saves a life, helping your team stay in the fight longer.

Success in Conquest isn’t just about firepower, it’s about teamwork. Squads that coordinate and balance classes (like Support for revives, Engineers for vehicle control, and Assault for aggressive pushes) are much more likely to dominate the map. Use vehicles tactically, hold the line together, and adapt your strategy as the battle evolves.

Closed Weapons Breakthrough: An intense, objective-driven mode where attackers work to secure sectors and push the front line forward, while defenders fight to hold or retake ground and drain the attackers’ limited lives – this time with the addition of class-locked weapons.

Breakthrough: Breakthrough is Battlefield at its most intense – focused, objective-driven combat where every move matters. Two teams face off with clear roles: attackers work to secure sectors and push the front line forward, while defenders fight to hold or retake ground and drain the attackers’ limited lives.

Maps are divided into sequential sectors, each with two capture points. Attackers must fully secure a sector to advance, while defenders can slow the push – or even regain lost ground – by coordinating well-timed counterattacks.

Every sector feels like a new chapter of the battle – and victory comes down to teamwork, timing, and grit.

Domination: Capture and hold multiple control points to outpace the enemy, and don’t hold back – this mode moves fast.

King of the Hill: Squads battle to control a single capture point. The more time ticks down, the fiercer the fight gets.

Weekend 2

Weekend 2 brings a new map, more modes, and more ways to dominate. Tackle fresh objectives and play through new challenges to unlock rewards. The fight’s only just getting started.

Maps

Play all the maps from Weekend 1, plus Empire State.

Empire State: Infantry-only map featuring explosive engagements spanning alleys, rooftops, and the iconic streets of Brooklyn, New York.

Modes

Play all the modes from Weekend 1, plus:

Rush: Arm and defuse. A team of attackers and defenders battle for control of a series of Military Communication systems (M-COMs). Attackers have to plant explosives at each system and prevent defenders from diffusing them before they detonate. When all M-COMs are destroyed, the fight moves to the next sector. The match ends when all M-COM systems are destroyed, or the attackers run out of lives.

Squad Deathmatch: Grab a gun and squad up for a fast-paced, close-quarters, deathmatch. Four squads compete for victory with one simple objective: First to reach the kill target wins.

Challenges:

It’s time to lock in and earn more rewards throughout the three challenges in Weekend 2.

Challenge: Capture 42 flags in Conquest, Domination or King of the Hill // Reward: War Machine Vehicle Skin

Challenge: Get 200 kills or assists // Reward: Bat Company Dog Tag

Challenge: Capture 10 sectors in Breakthrough or Rush // Reward: Dominion Weapon Package

Tips for Weekend 2:

  • You can spawn on your squad members when they are not in active combat.
  • Test out the four classes to discover how each one brings something unique to the battle.
  • Try out a new gadget—each one brings a new dimension to combat. For example, deployable cover is a reinforced ballistic shield that temporarily protects you from bullets and other projectiles.
