Get it Done and Shut it Down!

September 16, 2025

Once you get through the tutorial on the Isle of Grom, you’ll need to continue your Missions from Izzy (our top San Van City Councillor) to open up the city of San Vansterdam. But that’s not all there is to do - as you progress you’ll open up Challenges and Tasks.

Let’s talk about Missions and Tasks.

Missions

Missions are the SVCC (San Van City Councillors) way of introducing you to the city and skateboarding in San Van. You can find and track Missions in the Hub.

Skateboarder character stands between menu options in a video game interface.

Select Missions and you’ll see the Missions available to you, description of the missions and the completion conditions, as well as the rewards for completing the Mission.

Track the mission, find it on the map, and get to work. (And if you don’t want it tracked, you can always go back and Untrack it through the Missions menu.)

Tasks

Tasks are Daily, Weekly, and (coming soon!) Seasonal objectives to complete that will earn you some Rip Chips.

In the Hub, check the right side - Tasks - to access your active Daily and Weekly Tasks (with

Character in a gray shirt and green pants holds skateboard, surrounded by game menus. The 'Tasks' button is highlighted.

Don’t forget to CLAIM your Rewards! Daily tasks reset every day, so make sure to claim them before they disappear.

As you earn progress in your Tasks, you’ll see a pop-up on the screen letting you know how that progression is going.

Challenges

Challenges are Own the Spot, Session, Stunt, or Line challenges to test your skills in the game - and get you some Rip Chips when you complete them. Don’t worry if a Challenge is giving you a hard time - you can claim what you’ve completed and come back later to Shut it Down. Starting with Season 1, we’ll also have Seasonal Challenges for you to complete and earn more in-game rewards.

You can open the Map and select a Challenge to have a waypoint to it, or use the San Van transit system (aka the bus) to get closer if you’re further away. Lock in to the Challenge (and you can bring some friends for Co-Op Challenges) and knock out those objectives. If you Shut it Down, you’ve done every objective.

City Challenges Most Challenges rotate every 24 hours, but Crew Challenges are permanent Challenges representing some of the crews’ most hallowed spots, already-been-dones (ABDs), and never-been-dones (NBDs).

Until completed, the Challenge (City or Crew) will appear orange, with the Crew Challenges having a border around the icon. City Challenges will always have a clock on them, and you can see when the rotations will be via the Map, as shown above.

As you complete Challenges, Tasks, and Missions, you’ll earn more gear to customize your skater or Rip Chips to hit up The Shop and open Product Boxes, as well as Neighborhood Rep to increase your Neighborhood rank (you’ll get a pop-up to visit the Neighborhood skate shop to level up) and unlock the next tier of Product Boxes for that Neighborhood. Ranking up your Neighborhood also unlocks more Challenges for that Neighborhood, Crew and City Challenges.

Opening Product Boxes also increases your Rip Score, and with each level, you get more customization options for your profile banner and other goodies to use in San Van.

That’s the overview - it’s up to you to dive in and get to work on those Missions, Challenges (solo or co-op), and Tasks.

We’ll share details about Seasonal challenges with each Season, so stay tuned and let’s Shut it Down!

Let’s roll.
