Summer has arrived in SimTown and we’re turning up the heat with an fun tropical theme in our latest update! It’s the perfect time to host a Pride Party and celebrate love in all its forms, surrounded by laid-back island living and rustic oasis rewards from our latest Live Event, Influence Island and SimChase events. Day Spa Profession

During our FreePlayFest 11th Birthday celebrations last year, we revealed that a new mystery location on the SimTown map was in development! Your guesses were pretty spot on – now we can confirm that it is in fact a Day Spa, which is now open for business!

Become a Salon or Spa Manager in an all-new profession! Reach Player Level 45 to unlock the new building and start treating customers to a life of pampering in two unique career paths. Complete shifts at the luxury workplace that include serving visitors and offering them all types of wellness services. Earn resources to help build and upgrade your workstations so your Day Spa can become the biggest and best with high end decor, increased staff and more.

New Eyebrow Customization

In development since we refreshed the look of your Sims faces last October, we're excited to announce that we’ve finally split eyebrows apart from beards and makeup looks in Create A Sim! 

Eyebrows help define cultural features and the overall appearance of Sims, so we can’t wait for you to explore the new eyebrows category to mix and match your favorite facial looks with up to 6 colors in 6 styles and 2 thickness options (with more to come)!

Jump into the ‘Create A Sim’ menu by clicking on your preferred Preteen, Teen, Adult and Senior Sim and pressing Ultimate Makeover, or ‘Change Outfit’ via any wardrobe in their home. Enjoy the new close-up camera angle for the perfect view. 

Pride Month

To show our support for our LGBTQIA+ Simmer community, we’ve put together a free ‘Pride Celebration’ pack, available to redeem from 31 May! Represent your colors with free rainbow unisex hairstyles and makeup in all flag patterns for Preteen and Adults! 

Juneteenth Commemoration

To commemorate Juneteenth, we’re continuing to honor the importance of our African American player community by delivering a new short textured hairstyle for Adult Sims, available to redeem from the Online Store between 8-24 June!

SimDex Progression Points - Prize Additions

The ‘Active Tasks’ menu includes the ‘Progress’ and ‘SimDex’ tabs. We’ve just added a new range of SimDex rewards to earn as you earn Progress Points by simply playing through FreePlay’s base game content! Check these out in the ‘Progress’ tab and clicking on the green and gold present icon:

The ‘Sweet Boutique’ pack unlocks at 94,130 PP and includes:

• Heart ottoman
• Gallery window with awning
• Reception desk with register
• Display plinth in multiple sizes

The ‘Loc’d and Loaded’ pack unlocks at 98,420 PP and includes:

• Braided space buns hairstyle for Adult female Sims in six colors
• Thick beard with moustache for Senior male Sims in 6 colors

As a refresher, the ‘SimDex’ tab gives a snapshot of all non-live event content within the gametQuests, Hobbies, Careers and everything in between is listed in a series of ‘Level Buckets’. These buckets show you what you can complete at each Player Level. 

The ‘Progress’ tab gives you a holistic view of how much of the game you have completed, and how many Progress Points you’ve earned from each feature. Whenever you complete an item in the SimDex, you’ll earn ‘Progress Points’ which you can redeem for awesome new prizes! 

Tropical Events

‘Holidays ‘n’ Helipads’ Live Event

Take your Sims for their first ever ride in a helicopter! Park a helipad in the backyard and climb into your very own aircraft on the new island retreat house lot! Craft resources throughout the 10-day event to unlock the aircraft and Copacabana-inspired milestone prizes, which are perfect for relaxing by the beach.

The large grand prize house template is situated on a sandy lot that overlooks an ocean and features expansive three-stories, multi-level balconies with outdoor lounge areas, two pools, hammocks, palm trees, gazebo and more!

Influence Island Season 37

Rock the island vibes and make cocktails at a tiki bar with all new island getaway decor! By convincing Sims to join your clan in the latest season of Influence Island, you’ll unlock a large firepit with shell wall display, drinks display and cocktail benchtops, adult Male and Female tropical summer outfits, booth and barstool seating and much more. The grand prize includes a fun new animation ‘Splash Juice in Face’ for Adult and Senior Sims!

SimChase Season 59: Restful Ruckus

Live the laidback lifestyle with all new build mode items to decorate a bedroom and bathroom into a dream oasis! Race against a rival Sim to beat them to the grand prize. Complete tasks to earn progress points and unlock milestone rewards along the way, including hanging lounges, king-size bed with curtain canopies, bohemian ceiling fans, freestanding bath with petals and other retreat-inspired decor.
