• New Commander Showcase – Commander McNeil

This week we are adding a brand-new commander to the GDI family! New commander, McNeil, with his epic Resonance Field will slow down opponent units and give you those precious few seconds to win the battle!

    GDI: Commander McNeil

During the Second Tiberium War, Commander McNeil led the assault on a recently captured GDI Base, Hammerfest, to prevent capture of the Sonic Crystals - a key component in Sonic Technology such as the Disruptor tank. By diffusing some of the focused sonic waves that made up Disruptor and Shatterer technology, the GDI science division heading Harmonic Resonance research was able to create a wide-reaching, sonic field that would impede the movement and actions of anything within its radius, both mechanical and organic. This technology, coined as the Resonance Field, was eventually used in a defensive capability to help secure forward bases against Nod forces on the frontline proving especially helpful against the Banshee raiding parties.

    Stats:
    Faction: GDI
    Building: Commander
Total number of Units – 1
    Rarity: Rare
    Tiberium Cost: 40
    Unlocks at Player Level: 26

    Deployment Tips:

When triggered into battle, Commander McNeil lays down a mine on the targeted hex which has two states: Inactive and Active. Although he cannot be placed directly on pads, his effect is best in protecting other GDI units by slowing down Nod opponents. While inactive, McNeil’s mine will be placed on the field and as soon as Nod units come into his field of activation – 7 tiles, they will be significantly slowed down so use him while protecting pads, close to the launch of the nuclear warhead!

    Counters:

Laser Squad (NOD), Phantom (NOD), Cyborg (NOD)

    Dev Note:

“With enhanced EMP capabilities through his Resonance Field, Commander McNeil will slow down any enemy’s strategic moves and aid in securing the field with its unique playstyle.” – Dev Team

We Want Your Feedback: We’ll be tweaking and tuning all units, and this is a great chance to have a real impact on the game! Tell us what you think of the new unit on TwitterReddit, or Discord.
