Gameplay Deep Dive
Hello FC Mobile Community! Welcome to the June 2025 Update Gameplay Deep Dive!
We’ve improved the gameplay experience by honing in on critical community feedback over the past months. Improvements to Ground Passing and VS Attack will make gameplay more reliable, consistent, and most of all, more enjoyable! Let’s get into the details.
Passing
We understand that Ground Passing didn’t hit the mark when it came to build-up play and accurate passes. Based on your feedback over the past months, we’ve improved the reliability and accuracy of Button Ground Passes, Ground Through Passes, and Driven Ground Passes. Here’s how it shapes out:
Ground Passes
- Ground Passes will better respect the target player’s momentum, direction, and general on field position. This means you’ll see fewer ground passes coming in behind your intended target player.
- Improved the accuracy of Ground Passes relative to the joystick pad aim and angle.
- Improved the pass speed consistency of contextual outside and inside of the foot swerve passes.
- Improved balance and attribute impact of pass block interceptions.
Before
After
Ground Through Passes
- Improved the lead distance of Ground Through Passes if there’s enough space ahead of the target player. This will help with your fast attackers exploiting space behind defensive lines.
- Reduced the frequency of overhit Ground Through Passes along the sidelines in tight situations.
- Improved balance and attribute impact of through pass block interceptions.
Driven Ground Passes
- Improved accuracy to avoid defenders and better respect the pass receiver’s positioning relative to the passer.
VS Attack (VSA)
We’ve made improvements to everyone’s favourite fast-paced 90-second mode - VS Attack! This Update’s changes aim to make VSA a more fair, consistent and fun experience for both Division Rivals and League vs. League. Here’s what it looks like.
- Added more starting chances to give more variety and fairness to how you start your VSA match.
- Adjusted an issue with Good and Great Chances to better reflect the quality and difficulty of the chance based on your team’s OVR. This means that there are fewer of the very difficult Good or Great Chances.
- Reduced the difficulty of Good and Great Chances to give clearer attacking routes and options to convert your chances.
- Improved the difficulty and situations of Basic Chances to be more diverse and challenging.
- Significantly reduced the frequency of Fullbacks starting with the ball in 4 and 5 at the back formations.
- Chances end sooner after a GK deflected saves, defender tackles, fouls far from goal, or missed crosses. This is so you can avoid wasting precious seconds if the ball gets deflected into a “dead” zone.
- Reduced the tendency of GK to rush out on certain Chances.
- Added the ability to change your Camera preset.
Miscellaneous/Balancing
We’ve added more community feedback into the June Update with the following additions.
- Balanced the Heel to Heel and Stepover and Exit Skill Moves to reduce the speed boost they would give certain players. The effectiveness of these two Skill Moves are now more dependent on the player’s attributes.
- Improved player selection for the defending team inside the box during Corner Kicks. Your defenders with the highest height and jumping ability will be placed in the middle of the box to better defend aerial duels. This means you’ll see fewer shorter players defending against towering opponents on Corners.
- Fixed an issue where the camera would not change back to regular view after a blocked Free Kick.
Along with all these updates, we’ve fixed a number of minor issues and improved general connectivity stability! We’ve focused hard on making sure Passing and VS Attack meet the community’s expectations. See you on the pitch!
