Flying Submissions are available on some fighters. For instance, use ^LT^ + ^RB^ + ^X^ to attempt a Flying Armbar, from the Collartie position. Check Game Help from the Pause Menu to view your fighter&#39;s Submissions.

Alternating left and right punches will allow you to throw most basic punches in a combination up to 3 times. The higher your combination levels are, the more strikes you can combine together, up to a combination of 6 strikes.

To catch a kick, press ^RT^+^LT^ when a body kick is thrown towards your fighter. If timed correctly, your fighter will catch the kick.

**Inputs:**

Hold ^RT^ to block strikes. Time ^RT^ with incoming strikes to evade strikes.

Simplified Defense


Throwing a Knee in the Clinch will advance you to the Muay Thai Plum. You can throw Knees to the Body and Head from this position. Use ^LT^+^A^ or ^B^ to throw Knees to the Body. Use ^LB^+^A^ or ^B^ to throw Knees to the Head. In cage positions, Knees to the Leg are also available, with ^A^ or ^B^.

**Inputs:**

Knees to the Body: ^LT^+^A^ or ^B^

To run in the Octagon towards your opponent, tap twice and hold ^LS^ towards your opponent. This allows you to throw a Running Strike at the start of the round. Be careful, running into a strike could lead to a quick finish.

Use ^B^ for Takedown attempts. Press ^B^ in clinch to perform Throws and Trips.

To throw a Running Flying Knee, quickly press ^RT^ + ^A^ or ^B^ while running (depending on stance), with fighters who have a flying knee at Level 3 or above.

Press ^Y^ for a Clinch Attempt. Press ^Y^ again while in the clinch to change positions.

Use ^RB^ + ^B^ for Flying Submissions. Press ^RB^ + ^B^ during stand up for Imanari Rolls or in the Clinch for Flying Submissions and Guillotines.

Elbows can be very damaging inside the Clinch. Use ^LB^ + ^X^ + ^A^ or ^Y^ + ^B^ to throw Elbows inside the Clinch.

Elbows


As the dominant fighter in the Clinch, besides regular takedowns, you can attempt trips and throws, with ^RB^ + ^A^ or ^B^. Your fighter will need a Trip or Throw in their move arsenal. The movement direction can also affect which Trip or Throw will be used.

^RB^+^A^ or ^B^

Trips/Throws


You can throw Running Strikes just by running towards your opponent and pressing ^X^ or ^Y^. You can also tap ^LS^ and then throw a Straight to throw a Reaching Jab or Reaching Straight.

**Inputs:**

Tap ^LS^ towards opponent then ^X^ or ^Y^ for Reaching Straights.

Running and Reaching Strikes


Every fighting style has combinations that throw with more speed and fluidity than a random combination of strike inputs. Check the in-game move list to see which combinations your fighter throws with maximum efficiency.

Simplified Controls allows your friends to put up a decent fight without having to know all striking inputs. It is a great pick up and play option for brand new players. From Gameplay Settings, enable Simplified Controls in the setup section for either the Blue or Red corner.

Use ^X^ to throw Punches. Press ^X^ repeatedly to throw Punch Combinations. Use ^A^ to throw Kicks. Press ^A^ repeatedly to throw Kick Combinations. Use ^LT^ as your Body Modifier. Use all buttons together to mix up combinations.

Punches: ^X^

Kicks: ^Y^

Simplified Striking


Use ^X^ or ^Y^ to throw an Uppercut. Use ^LB^+^X^ or ^Y^ to throw Hooks. Use ^LT^ to modify any of these strikes to the body.
