The eChampions League 2024 season has finally begun and it kicked off with a bang as we saw some shocking upsets and incredible performances throughout.
The biggest news from Group A of the eChampions League saw ePremier League 2024 champion Tekkz suffer a shocking early exit from the competition. His first loss was a resounding 5-2 defeat to Club Brugge’s Ekmenn94, he then failed to beat Neat in a ten-goal thriller that ended 6-4 before drawing with JP_Sleator in his third and final match.
Although many expected Tekkz to top the group, he simply couldn’t find his rhythm and ultimately crashed out of the tournament. Real Valladolid's Neat secured the top spot after with three impressive wins out of four, taking the Spanish star to the next stage of the competition.
Group A Qualified participants: Neat, Montaxer, Ekmenn94
The battle for the top three spots in Group B was a close one as HHezerS, Levi de Weerd and AndoniiPM couldn’t be separated by points.
All three players finished the day with two wins, one draw, and one loss meaning they had to be separated by goal difference. Ajax superstar Levi de Weerd was able to secure the top spot with a +2 goal advantage after defeating second placed AndoniiPM in their Round 3 matchup.
Group B Qualified participants: Levi de Weerd, AndoniiPM, HHezerS,
Emre Yilmaz may have told us earlier that he believes he’s got a target on his back, but he was the true hunter of Group C as he scored an incredible 21 goals to ensure he remained undefeated and kept his quest to retain the eChampions League alive.
Yilmaz found his rhythm early on in the competition and no-one was able to stop him as he decimated the likes of Feldman, Bonanno and Domasas to ensure that he’s one of the favourites as we head towards the Knockout stage.
Group C Qualified participants: Emre Yilmaz, Bonanno, Feldman
PHzin had another dominant showing in a competition, defeating the likes of DaniPitbull, Jorjewin and Marc LDW to lock in the top spot.
The Brazilian was at his offensive best throughout, providing heavy defeats to some elite opponents. His game against DaniPitbull was his most impressive as he competed against an opponent who refused to stay down.
Luckily for PHzin, his potent offense was able to unlock Dani’s defence multiple times to help him get the win and maintain his 100% win streak in this year’s competition.
