Despite a commanding victory over the world number one, AbuMakkah, in the final match of the Group Stage, PHzin will be devastated knowing that his win ultimately meant nothing, as he was eliminated from the FC Pro Open.

PHzin's earlier inconsistencies proved costly, leaving him short of the points needed to secure qualification. However, his win did have significant implications for the group, as it ensured that his former Ajax teammate, Levi de Weerd, finished at the top of the table and earned a coveted spot in this year’s FC Pro World Championship.

Levi de Weerd 6-1 Fouma

Levi de Weerd took advantage of AbuMakkah's capitulation in the latter stages of the competition to secure the top spot in Group D. Levi knew that he'd have to get the win against Fouma if he wanted to take the top spot so provided the sort of defensive performance that ensured there'd be no surprises.

KTzn 5-5 Paulo Neto

KTzn completed the comeback fo the season by securing qualification to the FC Pro Open Finals. Despite being bottom of the group at the beginning of Match Week 8, the Galatasray Esports player earned enough points to squeeze past PHzin to qualify for the next round.

PHzin 5-6 Levi de Weerd

Despite being reduced to 10 men for a significant portion of his match against PHzin, Team Gullit's Levi de Weerd showed incredible resilience to earn a gritty win and secure his place in the FC Pro Open Finals.

Facing his former teammate, Levi knew PHzin would have a well-thought-out plan to try and defeat him. While the Brazilian managed to find the back of the net, Levi’s stubborn determination and tactical discipline—despite being a player down—proved to be the decisive factor in this intense matchup. It was a performance that showcased Levi de Weerd’s grit and ability to thrive under pressure.

KTzn 7-4 PHzin

Despite starting Match Week 8 at the bottom of Group D, Turkish superstar KTzn has surged up the table after a significant victory over the reigning champion, PHzin, at the FC Pro Open.

KTzn’s ruthless finishing proved decisive, while PHzin’s inconsistency created the perfect opportunity for the Turkish player to capitalise. This crucial win not only boosts KTzn’s confidence but also gives him a fighting chance to secure a spot in the FC Pro Open Finals, keeping his tournament dreams alive.

PHzin bounced back in style from his Round 6 defeat with an emphatic 8-5 victory over Fouma in his second match of the night. While his defensive issues were still evident, his attack was nothing short of lethal, with PHzin seemingly capable of scoring from every opportunity he created.

AbuMakkah cut a frustrated figure after a narrow defeat to Paulo Neto. The Team Falcons representative worked tirelessly to impose himself on the game, but Paulo Neto always seemed one step ahead, controlling the flow of the match.

Despite the setback, AbuMakkah’s strong 12-point haul from Match Week 4 provides him with a solid foundation heading into Match Week 8. Meanwhile, Paulo Neto will be buoyed by his excellent performances this week, which have propelled him into second place in Group D, further igniting the race for qualification.

AbuMakkah 5-4 Levi de Weerd

AbuMakkah extended his lead at the top of Group D with a hard-fought victory over Levi de Weerd. The Team Falcons star appeared set for a dominant performance, surging to a 4-0 lead and looking poised to score even more as he controlled much of the match.

However, Levi de Weerd refused to back down, mounting a spirited comeback that nearly saw him secure a dramatic draw. Unfortunately for the Team Gullit player, his late resurgence wasn’t enough, as AbuMakkah held on to scrape through with the win. This result further solidifies AbuMakkah’s position as the frontrunner in Group D.

Paulo Neto 7-3 PHzin

The all-Brazilian clash between Paulo Neto and PHzin delivered on its promise of excitement, with both players relentlessly pushing forward in attack. However, it was Paulo Neto who showcased a more potent offence, dismantling PHzin's defence to claim a decisive victory over last year's FC Pro Open standout.

For PHzin, a stronger defensive performance will be crucial in his upcoming match against Fouma if he hopes to keep his FC Pro Open dreams alive. The pressure is on for him to bounce back and stay in contention.
