Gabriel "Young" Freitas is a Rio de Janeiro native who currently plays for Tuzzy Esports, having previously represented SPQR Brasil Team and Atlanta United.

The 20-year-old first made his mark in 2022, reaching the semi-final of the eLibertadores and only being beaten by Mh7 in a penalty shootout.

That same year, he reached the FIFAe World Cup after taking first place in the Latin American South Qualifier and progressing through the Global Series Playoffs.

He then made it through Group A, outdoing Levi de Weerd by one point to reach the knockout stage. However, he met eventual winner Umut in the very next round and was beaten by an aggregate score of 4-1 over the two legs.

Then, in 2023, he was part of the Brazilian team that won the FIFAe Nations Cup South America Playoffs, beating Venezuela and Argentina on their way.

He has since got off to a positive start in EA FC 24, successfully making it through to FC Pro Open Quarter Finals.

In the Global Qualifier, the Brazilian started the Swiss Stage with a penalty-shootout win over Emre Yilmaz before falling to a narrow defeat against compatriot and former Atlanta teammate Paulo Neto.

Young then beat iAlawe 2-1 in the next match but suffered a 5-3 defeat against Happy. The Brazilian bounced back quickly to progress with a 5-3 victory against Brechexx.

He once again had to recover from a defeat in the knockout round as he was outdone in a penalty shootout after drawing 7-7 with AntoniniGabriel.

The 20-year-old did just that, beating Klinger 7-3 and then going even bigger with a 9-2 victory in the deciding match against NEissaT.

After reaching the FC Pro Open, Young certainly took his opportunity to impress. The Brazilian was up against Tuzzy Esports teammates FacuCowen and Happy in Group B, dramatically edging ahead of the former on goals scored to join compatriot PHzin in progressing.
