We are sad to announce that on September 30th 2021, adidas GMR will no longer be supported by FIFA Mobile. All GMR owners can still connect to FIFA Mobile – earning special rewards – until that date.
With GMR, adidas integrated the physical and gaming side of football in a way that hadn’t been done before. We’re proud to have collaborated on such an impressive product, but the events of the last 12 months since launch have made it difficult for players to truly connect through the physical side of the game in a way that this technology deserves.
The decision was not easy, as our development teams and operational staff have poured their hearts into GMR. It is difficult to see this happen, but the pandemic has made it very difficult for players to truly physically connect with the game as the technology intended. Following all of the uncertainty over the last 12 months and with an unclear road ahead, we've decided that now is not the right time for GMR.
However, GMR players will still be able to raise their game by using the football performance tracking and reading capabilities through the adidas GMR app, which will stay live through 2022.

How does this affect my current GMR progress in FIFA Mobile this Season?
GMR will continue to be supported in FIFA Mobile until September 30th 2021. No changes will be made to your current GMR progress.
What happens to my GMR players, logos, badges?
All existing GMR items you have unlocked or earned will remain in your FIFA Mobile inventory.
Can I still access the GMR section in FIFA Mobile after September 30th?
No, the GMR section in the FIFA Mobile app will no longer be accessible.
Can I still use GMR after September 30th?
Yes, you will be able to use the adidas GMR app through 2022.
Does this mean that the new season of FIFA Mobile starts on September 30th?
No, ending support for GMR is unrelated to the next season’s launch of FIFA Mobile.
