Being put in the penalty box is not going to help your team rise through the ranks, and it can lead to you getting kicked out of the League.

We’re not into long-winded pre-game speeches, but we do want to give you some quick tips that’ll help keep your account safe from cheaters and keep NHL 19 fun and fair for everyone.

Don’t Get Benched

One of the fastest ways to get sent off the ice is unauthorized buying and selling of Coins. We want HUT to be great for everyone, and that means we’ll penalize anyone who tries to get an unfair advantage.

For things to stay fun, we need to keep everything fair.

We want fair prices in the Auction House, and a gameplay environment where skill is your only advantage. Coin sellers and Coin selling websites mess that up by offering unearned Coins that knock competition, market prices, and rewards earning off-balance.

You might think that buying Coins doesn’t hurt anyone, but unearned Coins hitting the game tend to raise player prices in the HUT Auction House and disrupt the playing field in modes like HUT Champions. You play hard in game to earn Coins and rewards, and unauthorized Coin buying and selling inflates prices within the Auction House. If you are caught making unauthorized sales or purchases of HUT Coins, you’ll get benched.

There are also serious security risks involved with unauthorized Coin purchases. Coin sellers often ask you for private information or account data, which heavily increases the chances of your account getting stolen. If you’re invested in the game, the last thing you want is to lose access to your account. Recovering a stolen account is not easy, so it’s best not to risk it in the first place.

Stay Safe

Your EA Account is the gateway to all of your games. Losing your account can mean losing more than just your Coins and player items. Here are four ways to help keep your account safe from phishing, hackers, and scams.

• Choose a secure password: Don’t use words from the dictionary. Create a unique combination of letters, numbers, special characters, and capitalization.
• Don’t share your login information with anyone: Not even your closest friends and relatives. You can't control how they’ll use your info, or how secure their system might be.
• Beware of scams and free offers: Anything that looks too good to be true probably has a pretty serious catch. Check information in URLs and email addresses to confirm the sender is who they claim to be. Remember, EA SPORTS will never ask for your login information.
• Consider setting up login verification on your account: This adds an extra layer of security and can help prevent other users from trying to access your account.
