EA Security

Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure

EA is committed to the practice of the Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure. It’s important to us to fix potential security issues in our games and services to protect our players.

I FOUND A VULNERABILITY. HOW CAN I LET YOU KNOW?

Tell us by emailing us at secure@ea.com.

What to include in your email:

We’ll need the following to help us in our investigation:

  • What game or product did you find the vulnerability in?
    • What version of the client (such as Origin) and/or game are you using?
    • For web sites/services, on what day and time was the site/service most recently found to be vulnerable
  • What is the game system or platform where you found the issue?
    • PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, mobile, and so on.
  • What does the vulnerability allow an attacker to do?
  • What are the detailed steps an attacker would need to take to exploit the vulnerability?
  • Please include screenshots, sample code, or additional information that may help provide extra details.

Give us as much detail as you can so we can do our best to investigate.

I’VE EMAILED YOU. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?

We’ll try to get back to you within 24 hours to let you know we’ve received your email and that we’ve started our investigation.

If it turns out to be an issue that poses a significant risk to our players, we will work to fix it as quickly as we can. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please reach out again to us at secure@ea.com or contact us via help.ea.com indicating that you have not received a response.

Do you offer a bug bounty?

We don’t currently have a bug bounty program, but we encourage anyone that finds vulnerabilities in our products and services to let us know.

I THINK MY ACCOUNT WAS HACKED. SHOULD I EMAIL YOU?

We won’t be able to help you with your account if you email us. Instead, read our article on what to do if your EA Account was hacked.

Still need help after reading our article? Contact us so we can help. If you're contacting us about your EA Account and not a specific game, choose Origin as your product, PC as your platform, Manage My Account as your topic, and Hacked Account as your issue.
