Summary:
On March 7, 2014 the Florida Panthers took on the Buffalo Sabres. The game marked the return of goaltender Roberto Luongo to Florida. After spending seven-plus seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, Luongo was traded back to the Panthers for forward Shawn Matthias and goalie Jacob Markstrom. This was Luongo’s first game with the Panthers since April 18, 2006. Luongo was spectacular in the game making 25 saves to extend his franchise record for shutouts as Florida beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-0.
