NHL 15 Cover Vote - Your Vote Matters

We wanted to address the questions that have been surfacing around the Cover Vote due to the misinterpretation of the program's legal language. In the fine print, there’s a clause that states:

Sponsor will consider the voting results when choosing the NHL player to be featured on the cover of the NHL 15 video game, but Sponsor will not be obligated to abide by such results in making its decision.

This clause is standard contractual language designed to protect the integrity of the fan vote and basically allows EA SPORTS and the NHL to account for and address suspicious votes that appear to be auto-generated (i.e. sent from bots, spam accounts, etc.).

The Cover Vote program is 100% about allowing fans to select who is on the cover of the game and policies are in place to ensure that objective is not compromised. We completely value the support, effort and creativity from everyone participating in the Cover Vote and can't wait to see who you decide to be the face of NHL 15.
