およそ1世紀前、アウトランズは深刻なエネルギー危機に瀕していた。魅惑的でありながら一風変わった天文物理学者であるマリー・ソマーズ博士博士は、その解決策を見つけるために雇われた。マリーは家族をオリンパスの科学研究基地へと移し、仕事に取り掛かった。

部下であるリード博士の力を借り、マリーはブランシウムを発見した。彼女はそれが無限のエネルギーの鍵となる元素であることを確信している。しかし、ブランシウムはブラックホールの降着円盤にしか存在しない。そのため、マリーとリード博士は、彼女の理論が正しいことを証明するために危険な任務へと出発した。

マリーは息子のニュートンに無事に帰って来ることを約束した。しかし、リード博士が裏切った。ブランシウムを盗み出し、マリーのシャトルをブラックホールの軌道へと放ったのだ。マリーは知恵を絞り出し、真空空間でのロボットコンパニオン、ニュートを改造して脱出に成功した。しかし、ブラックホールの外れでは時間の流れが変化する。彼女の脱出は、87年遅かったのだ。

マリーは自分の研究に投資し、時を遡って息子と一緒に過ごすことを決心した。彼女は次シーズンに、重力の支配者「ホライゾン」としてApexゲームに登場。かつての人生を過ごし、帰ると約束した地、オリンパスでのデビューは近い。
