Can't afford the top picks from the FIFA Ultimate Team of the Week? EA SPORTS Community Manager Bowden gives you some backroom tips on where to smartly spend your transfer budget.

Last week’s bench saw a line-up of expert headers in both attack and defence. This week the focus is on attack with three strikers that’ll beef up your front-line!

In this weekly blog I highlight three IN-FORM (IF) players to help you better your team and get the most value out of the Team of the Week (TOTW). My three starting strikers this week are Johnson, Hughes and Kalou.

Johnson

64 rated bronze players are gaining popularity by the day as people look to challenge themselves with Level-locked tournaments. IF Jermaine Johnson is up there with the best bronze striking options thanks to the former LM’s 86 Pace, 74 Dribbling and 71 Shooting. He’s going for around 350,000 coins at the moment, so I’d definitely recommend trying your luck with a few packs this week if you’re keen on the Jamaican.

Hughes

I’ll be playing IF Lee Hughes centrally due to his 75 Shooting and 71 Heading. The Port Vale striker is a unique item, as you don’t find a 72-rated player in League 2 very often! At 35,000 coins he’s a smart buy for your English chemistry-focused team.

Kalou

IF Salomon Kalou is one of the best value buys I’ve seen in a long while. The former Chelsea winger has a staggering 87 Dribbling, a very high rating for an 80-rated striker. His Dribbling is well-supported by his 84 Pace and 77 Shooting, letting him torment defenders out wide if need be. 40,000 coins is an absolute steal for the Ivorian’s services.

Who do you think is the best buy this week? Check out this week's FIFA Ultimate Team of the Week and leave your comments below.
