This week, Chillingo goes all Wild West with the retro-themed shooter Pixel Ranger and cracks open an imaginative interactive storybook that adds an extra dose of happy to “happily ever after” in Cinderella Princess.

If Space Invaders was reinvented as a Western, Pixel Ranger would be the result. Use the accelerometer to dodge incoming alien attacks and return fire with your pixel-powered six-shooter. With endless action and an 8-bit aesthetic, this simple but addictive shooter stands out in the realm of neo-retro shooters.

The interactive storybook Cinderella Princess brings the classic fairy tale to life in a way not possible until now. Not only can you listen to it read back to you as you look at the fantastic art, but you can also record your own voice reading the narrative, personalizing the story for a special someone. With seven minigames and a cool 3D mode, Cinderella Princess is the storybook evolved.
