Hi. May I know why there is a $30 AUD markup in Battlefield Premium for PS3 in Australia? It is currently AUD$79.95 on PS Store. The PC version is AUD$50 and Premium for US is $50. Please clarify. This is clearly price discrimination . And with the information stated on this page, it is false advertising.

Why do Australian PS3 owners get so blatantly ripped off EA? The Australian dollar is almost at parity with the US dollar once more, with the current exchange rates it should be $51.24. It isn't like you are paying import costs or freight on a physical item, it is just bits of data that we download. With the above advertissing the Premium DLC for AU$49.95, one could take this as flase advertising. Maybe this should be reported the the Office of Fair Trading? Anyone else with me?

I am with you. I have even send an email to Gaming Websites as an article suggestion for this. Firstly, if Digital downloads are subject to import costs, why do PC gamers in AUS get the premium for A$49.99? This is blatant price discrimination. Also the lack of response is very discouraging. Plus false advertising, I believe, is a case for ACCC.

Some of the cost is due to the Australian wholesale distributors and some because we don't pay the shop assistant $6.50 an hour, they also have to match the pricing online, we are still getting ripped of tho. Love this idea about having to pay to be a VIP on BF3, i was happy to pay extra for limited and now this?? Remember you sales slogan when this game 1st came out?? we don't charge for what we think should be free like the others, and now you are, you are trying to whip this cash cow,

If they have to match our price here with overseas prices, it would be the same cost everywhere. Buying it on the PSN store means that there are no wholesale distributers as it is a download only. No overheads such as staff wages, superannuation etc as it is available online only. EA is turning into HAck-tivi$ion with this. I love playing this game, far better than COD and I bought like you said, that DLC was not going to be charged for as per their advertising. Fooled once, shame on you. I'm not going to be fooled twice.

Why do we have to pay what is essentially full price for an add-on? I would have paid $50 for this, but i already have paid extra for the limited and so i already have B2K (Back to Karkand) and refuse to pay for it again. Very sad EA, no sale until you make this worthwhile... Please someone from EA come on here and give us a reasonable explanation.

True, I bought the Limited Edition pack so I didn't have to pay for B2K. I do not want to pay for it again. If they would knock off some of the price for limited edition owners, I'd be happy. Especially if they have the Premium price at $49.95 as advertised originally.

Hey c'mon seriously this is Outrageous! This states $50 no more which i was happy with. I pay for live already, I Rent a server, and now i pull in the purse strings at paying $66 for this and If i was a PS3 user i would be rioting in the streets. Fix the pricing, MOH warfighter is off my list to at the moment until this is resolved.HALO will be purchased instead. Filing complaint with ACCC aswell. Be warned.this will not stand!

EA please bring the price down for premium on Australian/New Zealand consoles. Because the way i see it as is false advertising and you can get in trouble for that as im sure you allready know. If you were to bring it down i would not hesitate to buy it, but until then I will be filing a complaint. Justice must be served.

In New Zealand it's $120 for BF3 on the PSN Store + another $90 for the Premium, not to mention we're paying for B2K DLC AGAIN! $90 is extortionate as it is, not to mention suddenly pulling all the Official servers without ANY warning whatsoever. If you're trying to lose respect from us, you're doing DAMN good job. US PSN BF3 $60, Premium $50 = $110usd ($145nzd) NZ PSN: BF3 $120, Premium $90 = $210nzd That's an extra $65NZD for the SAME EXACT THING!

Where is our explanation EA? It has been a week since Premium has been released and since you have been aware of this issue from day one, what is happening? You can't seriously expect us to believe that it takes more than a week to send an email to Playstation Australia and tell them to change the price. You guys have not been transparent at all to the point we haven't received an official response from EA. ACCC will be contacted.

Even though the price has been lowered to $80 for us NZers, it's still crap. It SHOULD be $62 or even $65.
