EA Gives Back Supports Local Shanghai School
For EA Gives Back, the Shanghai office had 120 employees sign up to engage in two different volunteer projects. Between these two projects, Electronic Arts staff donated their time to help the Minhang Tang-Wan primary school for children of migrant workers who come from Shanghai. The volunteer teams assembled 100 mobile boxes for students and teachers to use, and painted six stair corners in the primary school which improved the facilities for over 1,500 students attending the school. They also sorted and reorganized over 10 bags of books for the school library, as well as delivered eight classes for the students on four different topics.
"It was an amazing day of teamwork, igniting the spirit that we can make a difference for the community at one special local school. With 120 volunteers contributing over 720 hours to Minhang Tang-Wan primary school, we were greeted by over 1,500 students who come from migrant workers living in Shanghai."
