What is Crossplay?
Crossplay, available for the first time in EA SPORTS UFC® Crossplay franchise history, allows players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to compete against each other in online modes, opening up a larger matchmaking pool and faster, fairer matchmaking. EA Connect integration provides a unified social experience for players across platforms, with shared leaderboards, player cards, and more.
How do I enable Crossplay?
You can enable or disable Crossplay via the in-game settings.
When is Crossplay available in UFC 6?
Crossplay is available as early as 12 June for players who pre-order the ULTIMATE Edition. This grants you seven days of early access to UFC 6 ahead of the worldwide launch on 19 June. For more information on all the bonus content that you can enjoy when you pre-order UFC 6, click here.
Will Crossplay make it easier to find matches?
Yes, Crossplay increases the number of players in the matchmaking pool, which typically makes it faster to find matches. This is especially helpful during off-peak times or in regions with fewer players.
Will Crossplay affect performance, connection, or wait times during matchmaking?
Crossplay doesn’t directly impact performance, but connection quality can vary depending on your opponent’s network. Matchmaking systems are designed to prioritize stable connections, and the larger player pool can help reduce wait times overall.
Can I communicate with players on other platforms during Crossplay?
Yes, you can connect and communicate with players on a different platform via the EA Connect menu. The EA Connect Friends List lets players see their friends regardless of which platform they're playing on. EA Connect also lets players communicate in-game via Quick Messages (a predefined set of texts and emojis players can choose from). For more info on EA Connect, click here.
Can I tell if my opponent is on a different platform?
Yes. EA Connect allows players to visually differentiate friends on other platforms. In-game, players can also see platform indicators on the Leaderboards and Player Cards.
