Alice: Madness Returns takes place 11 years after Alice's return form Wonderland and her release from Rutledge Insane Asylum. After a decade with general mental stability, Alice relapses into madness and once again enters Wonderland. American McGee returns to the series to show how malevolent and troubling the Wonderland in Alice's mind can be. The game's soundtrack sets the mood for Alice's growning dementia and her return to the twisted world of Wonderland. In Shadows of the Damned the minions of Hell claim the beloved of veteran demon hunter, Garcia Hotspur, and the only way to save her is for Garcia to force his way though the City of the Damned. Combining the punk rock style of Suda 51 (No More Heroes) with the legendary horror designs of Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil), Shadows of the Damned presents a psychologically twisted vision of Hell, crawling with dark, grotesque horror. Akira Yamaoka, the critically acclaimed composer and sound director of Silent Hill, wrote every song on the soundtrack and provides 12 tracks that serve as the perfect backdrop for the psycho-punk action thriller.
