Instant Replay # 2 – Molten Rock and a Hard Place

My major takeout from the weekend of gaming was that volcanoes and snow just do not mix.
Along with some Battlefield 3 multiplayer (mostly spent being a very inaccurate bullet hose/easy target), most of my weekend was attempting to conquer the SSX World Tour which I am happy to say that I managed to do in exceptionally average style!
Anyone who has skied or snowboarded can agree that the slightest bumps can throw you off course. SSX has done this well, and on one Deadly Descent in particular you could make an argument that they'd done it "too well"…
Kilimanjaro *shudder*
A dark, twisted evil mix of chasms of molten lava, claustrophobic tunnels and knife edged lines make for one hardcore snowboarding challenge. I didn't count how many times I had to hit "restart drop" but it would have been in the dozens!
It reminded me of a favourite Simpsons quote from the "Radioactive Man" episode…
Director: We've got to do the "jiminy jillikers" scene again, Milhouse.
Milhouse: [quietly angry] But we already did it. It took seven hours, but we did it. It's done!.
Director: Yes...but we've got to do it from different angles! Again and again, and again and again and again!.
Milhouse: Aah! [gets dragged out screaming].
Evil, evil run…
The New Zealand region though was my absolute favourite. Anything where you can jump off a dam then grind down the other side is an instant winner in my books.
What was your favourite run in SSX?
