In Their Own Words: Steve Aoki in Need for Speed No Limits

Steve Aoki has no limits

Need for Speed No Limits has partnered with famed EDM DJ, Producer, and eSports team ‘Rogue’ Co-owner, Steve Aoki.

In the latest Need for Speed No Limits in-game event, players will be able to drive cars featuring Aoki’s own design with three exclusive Aoki-themed car wraps to collect.

We sat down with the avid gamer to hear his thoughts on the future of competitive gaming, and where the inspiration for his latest collaborative track ‘Moshi Moshi’ came from.

Steve Aoki is a world-renowned DJ, producer, executive, and lover of video games. Aoki is a partial owner of Rogue Esports, a competitive gaming organization with teams competing in Counter-Strike, Rocket League, Fortnite, and more. Last year he made a slot-machine-meets-infinite-runner game called Neon Dream inspired by his 2014 album, Neon Future I. Now, Aoki’s bringing his talents to an upcoming update in Need For Speed: No Limits.

The update is packed full of action with Aoki appearing as an in-game character. Players will even receive an upgraded Subaru starter car that comes with a BRZ exclusive Steve Aoki wrap and upgraded wheels and nitro. Ride in style and race the streets to Aoki tunes. All five tracks from his ‘5OKI’ EP will be featured in-game for the duration of the update.

Aoki teams up with Israeli Psy-trance giants, Vini Vici, in his latest single to create a unique sound which will be featured in-game in Need for Speed No Limits. The track combines an acidy sounding drop, along with an EDM sounding drop, all in the Psy-trance tempo. The best part of the single is that it guest stars none other than Aoki’s own mom, Mama Aoki, who does the Moshi Moshi vocals.
