Dev Update 2025

November 10, 2025

Hey everyone - it’s the skate. dev team checking in directly.

Time has been flying since launching into Early Access. Watching tens of millions of you drop into San Van is truly humbling. We’ve been blown away by your support, feedback and passion.

From all of us at Full Circle, thank you.

We’re also here for the tough love. Things have not gone as smoothly for some of you as we would have liked. A lot more (we’re talking millions) players joined us in these first few weeks than we expected - and with that came bugs, glitches, progression locks, and performance issues. We’ll get into the why and what we’re doing about it, but first, we want to show our appreciation to all of you for sticking with us.

A Gift, For You (Yes, All of You)

We’ll be giving everyone in the game 2000 Tix and 500 SVBs to use as you wish. All you need to do is log in and claim your gift between now (Nov 10, 2025) and the start of Season 2 on December 2, 2025 at 9am PT. Make sure to use your Tix in the skate.Pass before the end of Season 1, and make sure to check out the Tix section update below.

Addressing Your Feedback

Let’s get into a few of the main concerns you’ve shared with us.

Making skate. is a balancing act between delivering the fresh content from our roadmap, improving the overall player experience, and addressing your live feedback. We’re tweaking and fixing the game - some of it on the fly, and some of it as part of longer-term improvements. But, things will continue to change and improve. We all want skate. to be great, and working with you, our community, to fine-tune the player experience during Early Access is the way we get there.

Softlock and Progression Issues

We’ve identified several spots where you’re experiencing softlock and progression issues. We know some players are still affected. Unfortunately, each of these issues is unique and requires a different solution. Here’s how we’re handling these:

  • First, we identify the issue and all impacted players.
  • Next, we run batch fixes to get players unstuck.
  • Then, we develop long-term fixes to make sure future content (and players) won’t be impacted by the same issues.

These are top priority for our team, and we will keep you updated on our progress.

Tasks

On October 21, 2025, we pushed an update to resolve system overload and errors when our daily tasks reset.

You should see fewer errors now, but there still may be a few slip ups. For example, our Trick of the Day - Spread Eagle task wasn’t working. Thanks to your quick flags, we got it up and running within a few hours. We can’t promise every fix will be that quick. As your reports come in, our team is reviewing them and working to make things right ASAP.

Cosmetic Items and skate.Pass Progression

We’re still tuning progression and rewards until they feel just right. That will mean different things to different players - new players, experienced players, casual players, and to those who skate all day. Rip Chips, Tix, and Rep are part of that tuning and it’s all a delicate balance. We appreciate your patience as we dial this in to make our in-game economy and reward system fun, fair, and sustainable.

Changes are coming starting with Season 2:

  • Premium item value: We want you to feel good about what you’re spending your SVB on. So we're working to make Premium items feel even more unique and valuable, and we’ll continue to make adjustments as needed.
  • skate.Pass tiers: We're tweaking skate.Pass so it will be less of a grind to complete. You’ll also see more tiers going forward - all future Seasons will have around 90 tiers.
  • Earning more SVB through skate.Pass: We’re increasing the amount of SVBs granted through the combined Standard and Premium tracks of the skate.Pass to 500 SVB.
  • More branded and licensed items in skate.Pass: We’re actively working with our partners to include more branded items in future seasons. While they won’t arrive in time for Season 2, you’ll see an update as soon as we have new items to report.
  • Event currency surplus: Having a surplus of event currency after Skate-o-Ween has been an issue, so, we’re tuning our event economy. You’ll see changes starting with the 7-Ply Maple Harvest event later this month.

Tix Rollover

Our intention with Season 1 was to make sure players could get enough Tix through Seasonal Tasks and Challenges to complete the skate.Pass. Well, we went a bit overboard - we’re seeing that some players are still overflowing with Tix, even after unlocking all the goods they want.

If you purchased Tix with SVB, any leftover Tix you purchased will roll over at the end of the season. If you didn’t purchase Tix with SVB, you’ll get a portion of those rolled over to the next season. That being said, use your Tix in the skate.Pass to avoid losing some when the season rolls over. Let us know how this feels through Early Access and we’ll continue to improve the way we roll over Tix from season to season.

We’re truly grateful for your patience as we improve, grow, and evolve skate. during Early Access. We wouldn’t be here without you, the incredible skate. community, so keep sharing your feedback, your bugs, and issues. We’re on the case and we’ll only get better from here.

From all of us,

The Full Circle dev team
