Hey everyone and welcome back for another exciting episode of The Grind, with me, Mack.
As I said last week I was fortunate enough to get on the guest list for the EA launch party, of this year’s must have game, Skate 3.
The Launch party was held at this amazing venue, the Louise Blouin Foundation, a place I have never been to before but a place I’m not soon to forget.

I walked into the main hall and just gasped at what I saw. It was like being a kid again in the lobby of a toy store with permission to play with everything and go have fun.
To my left, a corridor had been made using Perspex to contain the DC pro skate team and with them a quarter pipe to driveway to quart combination to keep them occupied for hours. All around me in the main room was an uncountable amount of flat screen TV’s connected to XBox 360’s with Skate 3 in the disc drives. Each console was accompanied by its own sofa in which to check out the full version of the game and to just kick back and relax.
To the back of the main room was a curtain dividing the room into two, and in this room I saw, Christian Stevenson playing host to a game of Hall of meat against the band Hadouken on two massive HD projectors. One projector had a link to the DC team in the skate corridor at all times and trust me, those guys can skate.
I remember watching Rad years ago, which Christian used to present. This was at a time before satellite TV was an option and all we had were terrestrial channels.
Last but not least... It was a free bar, one I found myself visiting a few too many times, but what was I to do, this launch party was what every skater could dream of and I found myself wrapped up in every area of this great hall.
Also this week, I woke up at six am. Now for me this is really early, considering I normally don’t have to get up for work ‘til about eight. So if I was going to be up that early it must be for a good reason, and going skateboarding at London’s South Bank to see the EA London skate over is as good a reason as any.

After a little warm up on the banks and ledges of this world wide known skate spot I joined in with a photo session and a filmed skate across the city with the Skate 3 Pro riders.
Now all this footage can be seen on the videos and trailers area, and was so much fun to be a part of. The objective, to skate past London’s historic land marks, first stop on from South Bank was the London Eye. From there I become this purple blur skating past the cameras, like I’ve said before, I’m not the best skater in the world but I do love skateboarding.
Now that Skate 3 is finally out for everyone to enjoy, feel free to hook up with me on XBox live for a game of skate or even for just a free skate to go find some hidden spots. My gamer tag is jaymack19.
Thanks again for reading and hope to skate with you soon.
