The Anthem VIP Demo is Happening January 25 - 27
Your chance to dive into the world of Anthem before launch
The Anthem™ VIP Demo has begun! From January 25 9:01 a.m. PDT - January 27 6:00 p.m. PDT, our first wave of lancers can venture into the world of Anthem on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Take two javelins – the reliable Ranger and another of your choice – for a spin through a beautiful environment full of missions, secrets, and deadly beasts.

Suit Up, Freelancer!
There’s much to do in the VIP Demo! You will start with a fully equipped Ranger at Level 10, directly in Fort Tarsis. Players are free to explore different areas of the Fort, and meet with several new faces, including Agents and your Pit Crew. Play story missions with your friends; explore, swim, and fly through a section of the open world; fight in a dangerous stronghold; or spend time in the Forge customizing your javelin. You’ll also be able to level up, earn incredible new gear and weapons, unlock a second javelin, and reinforce other Freelancers as they battle the chaos in the world. Unleash your Power!
The VIP Demo In-Game Economy
The VIP Demo is a taste of the final game that we hope will leave you wanting more. To make sure you get the full Anthem experience in a short timeframe, the in-game economy you will experience has been adjusted for the demo. Please note that it will differ from the economy in the full game in the following ways:
- The economy is different than the final game. This includes: the earn rate on XP, items, Coin, and access to certain customization options.
- You will start the demo with 100 Coin, to encourage players to customize their javelin’s cosmetics.
- For simplicity, each item in the demo costs 25 Coin. In the main game, the price of those items will be different.

VIP Demo participants must have pre-ordered Anthem* or be an EA Access or Origin Access member at the time of the Demo to participate. If you haven’t launched into the VIP Demo yet, check out how you can register now.
If you aren’t part of the VIP Demo, don’t worry! The Open Demo runs February 1 - 3 and is open to all. EA Access and Origin Access Basic members will also be able to experience Anthem with the Play First Trial starting February 15 while Origin Access Premier members will get Early Access to the full game on that day**. Anthem officially launches on February 22!
