The Panthers have an outstanding front seven and the best mobile QB in the game. Quality play calling on defense and using Cam effectively make the Panthers a strong team in Madden.
In terms of versatility, Cam Newton is the best QB in Madden 19. Only two QBs have a higher Throw Power, only a handful are faster, and he has better ball carrier moves than most HBs. Don’t hesitate to run with Cam when you see an opening and protect the ball, or at least slide before the hit, to prevent fumbles. This will open up big opportunities down field.
Nothing new here for the Panthers, TE Greg Olsen is your go-to receiving option. He’s become less of a dynamic TE option, but he has the surest hands on the team. Olsen is bringing it down if it’s within reach.
The Panthers have a great duo at HB with Christian McCaffrey and C.J. Anderson. Anderson is the better rusher, especially if you’re going between the tackles with more balanced stick moves. But McCaffrey is essential to success, as he’s likely the best pass catching HB in Madden. He’s the ultimate check down option.
On offense, there’s Cam. But on defense, LB Luke Kuechly is the one of the top players in Madden. He's not the pass rusher that guys like Von Miller are, but Kuechly is amazing in coverage and can actually handle assignments against elite TEs. Broken tackles against Kuechly are extremely rare.
The Panthers’ D-line is made up of guys like Kawann Short, Dontari Poe, and Julius Peppers. All three have quality moves to break past the O-line. Any added pressure from a blitzing LB is likely more than enough to bring down the QB or stop the run in the backfield.
While Kuechly is cutting off the middle, Thomas Davis Sr. is the LB you should attack with. He’s the only player on this roster with a higher Hit Power than Kuechly, so lean into that Hit Stick.
