A talented defense, playmakers on offense, and a great playbook make the Titans one of the most exciting teams to play as in Madden NFL 19.
Looking at his skill set, Marcus Mariota is in a middle ground between Russell Wilson and Cam Newton. Not as explosive as those other guys, Mariota's combination of Speed and Throw Power still leaves tons of potential. Use his Speed to make the defense move side to side before taking big shots downfield.
A mobile QB’s best friend is often the TE. Delanie Walker is one of the best in the game. He isn’t the overpowering force you see with other TEs, but Walker is an outstanding possession pass option and his Stiff Arm can edge out tough first downs.
Though the roster lacks depth at WR, it’s rich at HB with Dion Lewis and Derrick Henry. Lewis is only slightly faster, but is a better receiver out of the backfield. Henry, however, is a power back with great stick skills for an HB his size. Go with Henry for early down work and bring in Lewis on passing plays.
The Titans have a trio of CBs specializing in different aspects: slot, zone, and man coverage. The newly-acquired Malcolm Butler is your best bet for man coverage on your opponent’s best WR.
DE Jurrell Casey and LB Brian Orakpo are a lot to deal with attacking on the same side. Know the O-line you’re facing and send them to completely overload the right side to force QBs out of their progressions.
The zone specialist in the secondary is FS Kevin Byard. Combined with quality CBs and pressure up front, Byard is the guy with the ability to snatch ill-advised throws.
