Legends Reveal
Jermichael Finley
I’ll pull back the curtain here and say, at first glance, I was surprised. I don’t remember Finley as a game-changing player, and the statistics generally back that up. However, you know what Finely WAS? A whole lot of fun, and a player who was impossible not to root for.
Finley was born and raised in Texas, was a Texas Longhorn and drafted by the Packers in the third round in 2008. Up until 2019, Finley held the Packers’ record for receiving yards in a playoff game (159). That game was en route to his Super Bowl win with the Packers in 2010.
Finley’s career was cut tragically short when he suffered a scary spinal cord injury. In six NFL seasons, Finley was a reliable weapon for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.
Reggie Nelson
Another legend coming from the 2000’s-2010’s era, Nelson played 12 seasons from 2007-2018. The first round pick was a Florida Gator, Jacksonville Jaguar, Bengal and Raider. Nelson was a key piece on the 2007 Jaguars defense and helped Jacksonville beat the Steelers in a close Wild Card game. Nelson’s also one of only seven players to have eight interceptions in a season in the 2010’s. He finished his career with 38 picks, the most of any player who started their career after 2006.

TJ’s Top Five: Power Running Theme Teams
Power run schemes make me happy. A successful power run attack makes me feel warm inside, like everything is going to be OK, like football is being played the way it was meant to be played.
Anyway, here are my favorite theme teams for a power run scheme in MUT!
The only theme team with Derrick Henry, TJ, what are you DOING?! I get it, the Henry item is a beast, possibly the best power running item in the game. However, a huge part of pounding the rock is depth and the backup to Henry on this theme team is 68-overall Darrynton Evans. If you decide to rock Marcus Mariota at QB, though, this run game is definitely bolstered by his 90 speed.
You’re going to have a great time running the football with the Ravens theme team. For starters, their running back ensemble is solid. 91 OVR Priest Holmes is a very complete back, but 90 OVR Ricky Williams is complete with both a 90 trucking and 90 speed. Lamar Jackson is an elite mobile QB, adding that dimension for your opponents to think about. Also, the Ravens have a great blocking TE option in Maxx Williams. The most underrated part of this team’s attack, though, is fullback Kyle Juszczyk who dropped with a 94 OVR item in the Most Feared release. The reason the Ravens aren’t #1 here is because their offensive line still has a few holes considering how powerful some of the defensive linemen are in MUT.
This group of running backs is downright scary: Two 95 OVRs in D’Andre Swift and LeGarrette Blount? Sign me up. I wish they had a fullback, but with solid blocking TEs in T.J. Hockenson and Darren Fells, I can’t complain. This offensive line is also solid, with 77 OVR Penei Sewell the weakest link when this squad is fully-maxed out.
If the Cleveland Browns theme team doesn’t have the best offensive line in MUT, they’re close to it. Led by 93 overall legend Joe Thomas, this unit doesn’t show lower than an 89 OVR when used as a theme team. On top of that, fullback Andy Janovich is an 85 OVR with an 86 lead block. They also have two great blocking tight ends in Darren Fells and Ozzie Newsome. Last, but definitely not least, their backfield is led by 92 OVR Nick Chubb, who’s rocking a 91 trucking. This team would be number one if their QB situation was a bit more solid and could add another threatening dimension to the gameplan.
In my opinion, this Niners theme team is the most complete running offense in the game. Sure, 86 OVR Trey Lance isn’t the most threatening option under center, but his 84 speed makes him a weapon in the run game, and his passing stats are good enough to help an otherwise elite offense stay afloat. Let’s get to the firepower. At running back, this team has a runner who fits every mold you could ask for. Reggie Bush the receiver, Mike Davis the power back and Raheem Mostert and Elijah Mitchell for the elusiveness. You could sub in a new running back every play, it’s amazing. Also, beastly fullback Kyle Juszczyk is here as well. The Niners have a great blocking (and all around) tight end in George Kittle, and to boot, they have an elite offensive line.
