Madden NFL Awards

The Madden NFL Awards celebrates the top in-game performers from this past year. User statistics from H2H online ranked, H2H online unranked, and Play Now determine our select category winners: Sack Leader, Tackles Leader, Interceptions Leader, Rushing Leader, Passing Leader, and Receptions Leader. Key community members and Madden Ratings Adjustor’s vote these select award winners: Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, and the most coveted Most Valuable Virtual Player (MVVP).

MVVP (Most Valuable Virtual Player): Kyler Murray

• Voted on by key community members and Madden Ratings Adjustor’s for being the most influential, dynamic, and game-changing Madden NFL 22 player.
• Perhaps the most dynamic quarterback in the NFL right now, Murray’s elite passing AND rushing abilities made him this year’s Madden NFL 22 MVVP.

Receiving Leader: Tyreek Hill

• Thanks to his world-class speed and receiving ability, Kansas City receiver Hill racked up the most yardage in Madden NFL 22.
• Official Stat: 13,886,904,736 yards

Rushing Leader: Lamar Jackson

• You might expect a running back to snag this award, but Ravens QB Jackson flexed his famous dual-threat abilities to lead the Madden NFL 22 rushing yardage rankings.
• Official Stat: 9,813,951,998 yards

Passing Leader: Kyler Murray

• With his brilliant combination of power and accuracy, Cardinals QB Murray was slinging passes all over the virtual field this year and topped the leaderboard for passing yardage.
• Official Stat: 26,897,488,324 yards

Most Improved Player: Jonathan Taylor

• Awarded to the player who improved the most over the past season and increased their overall rating in Madden NFL 22 by a significant margin.
• In just his second season in the NFL, Colts RB Taylor exploded onto the scene and saw his OVR jump from 83 to 92.

Sack Leader: Aaron Donald

• Just as frightening for QBs in Madden NFL 22 as he is in real life, Donald had the most sacks recorded in the game this season.
• Official Stat: 49,158,968 sacks

Tackles Leader: Tyrann Mathieu

• The Honey Badger flies into tackles in the game and on the field, shown by his place at the top of the Madden NFL 22 leaderboard in tackles recorded.
• Official Stat: 198,883,232 tackles

Interceptions Leader: Jalen Ramsey

• Backing up his famous trash-talking from the field to your console, Rams cornerback Ramsey snatched more interceptions than any other player in Madden NFL 22.
• Official Stat: 49,270,272 interceptions

Rookie of the Year: Micah Parsons

• Awarded to the rookie who had the highest overall rating at the end of the season.
• Rookie Cowboys linebacker Parsons had a phenomenal rookie season, racking up 13 sacks and 20 tackles for loss, giving him a final Madden NFL 22 rating of 88 OVR.
