Everything you needed to know about Power Mints!

Power Mints are your plants’ best friends on the lawn (besides you!)

Plants vs. Zombies 2

A magical medley of 14 special plants, known as Power Mints, serve to temporarily boost their specific family of plants that help you defend and repel any zombies on your lawn!

Power Mints unleash a special effect once planted on your lawn, and cannot be eaten or affected by zombies and their attacks. As a result of being so powerful, Power Mints only last a short amount of time on the lawn after being planted. So use them strategically!

These Power Mints their families are:

Michael Schumacher

Fila-mint

A high-voltage Power Mint that's perfect for plants that have a zap to them. When Fila-mint is planted it immediately zaps zombies and boosts the damage of Electric family plants.

Michael Schumacher

Pepper-mint

Once planted on the lawn, Pepper-mint sets the entire lawn on fire causing damage to any zombies present and thawing out any plants that may be frozen. Boosts the effectiveness of fire-family plants.

Michael Schumacher

Winter-mint

This Power Mint chills all zombies as soon as it lands on the lawn. The effectiveness of plants that chill is increased such as their damage and chill duration.

Michael Schumacher

Enlighten-mint

The lovely sunny Enlighten-mint produces sun as soon as planted. Sun-producing plants receive a temporary boost in their sun production rates and in how much sun they produce for a short time.

Michael Schumacher

Reinforce-mint

Re-inforcement makes an impact by knocking back all zombies on the lawn and applies the Plant Food effect on family-related plants. This Power Mint makes the perfect partner to its tough, defensive family plants by increasing their overall effectiveness whilst on the lawn.

Michael Schumacher

Bombard-mint

When planted, Bombard-mint sets off multiple explosions on the lawn on any tiles that don’t have plants or obstacles on them. Explosive Plants receive a welcome boost while Bombard-mint is active.

Michael Schumacher

Ail-mint

For those who like being prepared with noxious plants, Ail-mint poisons all zombies on the lawn as soon as she touches down. For those in the plant family their effectiveness and abilities are boosted.

Michael Schumacher

Enchant-mint

The Power Mint of plants who enchant, hypnotise or otherwise charm zombies. Enchant-mint will randomly hypnotise zombies anywhere on the lawns when planted. Enchant-mint will not just boost any of its family plants but will increase the effectiveness of their abilities, such as healing hypnotised zombies and other effects.

Michael Schumacher

Contain-mint

A Power Mint, that when planted, stuns all Zombies present on the lawn. It boosts family plants by granting them advanced abilities (abilities found at higher plant levels) and increasing both the effectiveness and active duration of their abilities.

Michael Schumacher

Enforce-mint

Enforce-mint shrinks and immobilizes zombies thereby making them weaker. All Enforce-mint family plants receive a boost to their effects and overall attributes for as long as Enforce-mint is on the lawn. The number of zombies that Enforce-mint can affect increases as you level them up.

Michael Schumacher

Arma-mint

A heavy-hitting, heavy-supporting Power Mint that unleashes a barrage of projectiles that deal damage and stuns zombies once planted. Arma-mint increases overall stats  and other effects of plants within its family.

Michael Schumacher

Conceal-mint

Perfect for shadowy plants, Conceal-mint drags zombies down into the ground while powering up shadow plants everywhere on the lawn. In addition to the power up, all shadow plants get a nice boost to their damage and attributes.

Michael Schumacher

Spear-mint

A Power Mint that makes a point, Spear-mint creates a number of Spikerock plants towards the furthest right of the lawn (the zombie-end). Spear-mint also grants a temporary boost to damage and toughness to all plants within their family.

Michael Schumacher

Appease-mint

For those who are a fan of peas, Appease-mint is the Power Mint for you. Appease-mint launches a massive volley of peas that break up into smaller peas on contact with zombies. All Appease-mint family plants are given a boost in their stats from damage, toughness, and more.

Minty fresh tipz about Power Mints:

  • Power Mints have lengthy cooldowns. Luckily, you can plant them right at the beginning of a Battle. They cost 0 sun to plant, so try to get one out fairly early so you'll have one cooled down and ready to go later in the match. Try to get as many uses as you can!
  • Plant Food can be used on Power Mints! Tap and drag a Plant Food over to the left side and drop on the seed packet thumbnail of the Power Mint you wish to use it on. This is useful in skipping the long cooldown and a great way to get the most of your Power Mints!
  • Power Mints have a big, one-time effect when they're planted. Try to pick a moment when things are getting particularly hairy. But don't sit on them for too long, or you won't be able to use them again before the match is over.
  • By leveling up your Power Mints using Mints - only obtainable through playing Arena - you can increase the amount of boost they give your plants as well as increase the time the Power Mint and their effects are active on the lawn.
  • Individual Power Mints are featured monthly, so if you have one that you are particularly keen on you can level it up or obtain it (if you don’t already have it in your Almanac).
  • Keep an eye out for Improve-mint events where all Power Mints become available! Been eyeing off a particular Power Mint for a while? Improve-mint events are perfect for you to grab that Power Mint while also leveling up others too!

We can’t wait for you to grow your strategies with Power Mints, so let us know what you think on Twitter!
