How to Customize Interceptor Class Starfighters

The interceptor class includes the fastest and most agile starfighters in Star Wars™: Squadrons – the A-wing and TIE interceptor. Built for tearing through enemy starfighters head-to-head, the speed and maneuverability of interceptor class starfighters make them difficult targets. Use components to modify your interceptor’s performance and specialization. Get started with the two examples below, and once you get familiar with customization, make sure to experiment to find a loadout that works best for you.

How to Customize Interceptor Loadout, Example 1 – “Stealthy Assassin-Like Build”

A stealthy build for pilots that like to get up close and personal. Your Reflec hull prevents enemies from targeting you while at a distance (>1500 meters). When closer than 1500 meters, remain hidden by using your targeting jammer and continue to close in on your target. Use your Plasburst at very close range for massive damage. Your Microthrust engine helps to keep the enemy in your sights while at this very close range. Any opponent that manages to spot you will take a long time to lock on thanks to your Scrambler Shield, giving you more time to hone in on your target. On the off chance someone manages to launch a missile at you, just send it back towards your enemy with the Sensor Inverter!

How to Customize Interceptor Loadout, Example 2 – “Dogfight Specialist”

A build for those who often find themselves in tightly-locked dogfights. Use the Rapid Fire Cannon and Anti-Starfighter Missile to quickly deal damage to close, fast-moving targets. Use the Microthrust engine to keep those fast, close targets in your sights. Use Seeker Mines to keep the enemy off your tail, and let the Chaff Particles deal with any enemy missiles launched at close range.
