How to Master the Weapons and Gadget of Season 7

When you jump into the lawless suburban combat of Battlefield™ 2042 – Season 7: Turning Point, bringing the right tools for the job is crucial. The good news is that two versatile weapons are coming your way, along with a classic gadget making a comeback.

Let's learn how to harness the power of the AK 5C, the SCZ-3, and the Predator SRAW with some expert advice from the Battlefield developers.

New Assault Rifle: AK 5C

The AK 5C is a powerful, formidable addition to your arsenal for close and medium-range encounters. This is a versatile weapon that you can transform to fit many situations.

For instance, try equipping the AK 5C with a heavy barrel, high-power ammo, and a bipod. This will give the assault rifle DMR-like qualities which is a good choice if you want to fight from afar. Just prepare for an increase in vertical recoil when firing in full-auto!

You can also create a more stealthy, spec-ops build by adding thermals, a heavy suppressor, and subsonic ammo. This will make the AK 5C a reliable partner in the tight confines of Haven, the new map coming with Season 7. A heavy or light suppressor and underbarrel shotgun can also be combined for an Assault CQC stealth build – also a nice fit for the tighter sections of the battlefield.

New SMG: SCZ-3

Next up is the SCZ-3: a versatile, fast-firing submachine gun. This highly efficient SMG is ideal for close-quarters combat and if you equip it with a drum magazine, you’ll spend less time reloading and more time dominating the battlefield.

The SCZ-3 can be transformed into a pseudo-carbine role, by using high-power ammo and an extended barrel. You can see this weapon as a hybrid between the PBX-45 and the PP-29, providing more accuracy but less ammo than the latter, and being less deadly in close combat than the former.

The SCZ-3 requires pinpoint accuracy at close range to compete with other SMGs, but if you can consistently hit headshots, you'll find its time-to-kill highly competitive. Again, versatility is the key benefit of the SCZ-3; try building it as a mid-range pseudo-carbine or a close-quarters shredder, depending on your battle strategy.

New Gadget: Predator SRAW

Finally, we introduce the Predator SRAW, a returning staple that fans of Battlefield 4 may have missed. We think you’ll have fun when harnessing the power of the SRAW, which can bring down land and air vehicles with its wire-guided missiles. This launcher is especially effective against helicopters and moving targets, delivering serious threat to Little Bird helicopters, tuk-tuks, and anything in between.
