This summer, EA proudly unveiled EA SPORTS FC 26–launching worldwide on September 26, 2025 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch™, and Nintendo Switch™ 2. The reveal event took place over two action-packed days at Electronic Arts Vancouver, where creators and journalists from around the world were invited to discover every new detail of the game, tour our world-class motion capture studio, chat one-on-one with developers, and get hands-on with the latest build.
The excitement in the air made it clear—this year’s reveal was more than just a preview; it was a true celebration of the beautiful game.
All of this momentum is building toward our most community-driven FC ever, with groundbreaking new features inspired by our fans and brought to life by our world-class development team.

Our most community-driven football experience ever
From kickoff, EA SPORTS FC 26 stands apart as the most community-oriented football experience EA SPORTS has ever built. Under the guidance of Community Lead Shelden Rogers and with insights from veteran voices like Senior Producer Sam Rivera and Lead Gameplay Producer Paul Parsons, the development team has doubled down on open lines of communication with fans. The result? Fundamentals and features powered by community feedback.
“‘Make gameplay better’–that was kind of our mantra this year,” said Thomas Caleffi, Gameplay Producer for EA SPORTS FC 26. “Player control, shot control, positioning, choices. All of this was focused on and improved with the ultimate end goal of having the best gameplay experience ever for FC.”
What this translates to is more responsive dribbling, smarter AI positioning, and sharper, more explosive movement—all based on community feedback. Goalkeepers now react more naturally with improved positioning, animations are more lifelike, and new PlayStyles and Player Roles give you more ways to shape how your team plays.
And of course there’s no FC without skill—and moves like Dynamic Dribbling (available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC) have been rebuilt to be more consistent and responsive, packing in more frequent dribble touches, explosive turns, and agility that reflect real players’ capabilities. The team has prioritized raw player feedback, making sure that speed, technical ability, and—now—pure physicality are modeled with greater fidelity than ever before.

Overhauled Gameplay Experience: FC 26 delivers true-to-life football with smoother dribbling, sharper run curves for explosive movement, and reinvented close-body, volumetric animations. Goalkeeper intelligence gets a real-world lift from reinforcement learning, meaning smarter positioning and more confident shot-stopping.
Competitive and Authentic Presets: Need a true test of skill? The new Competitive Gameplay preset is fine-tuned for Football Ultimate Team™ and Clubs, prioritizing responsiveness and consistency for top-tier play. Prefer the real thing? Authentic Gameplay preset in Career Mode offers the most genuine football experience yet.
Archetypes Arrive: Inspired by legendary footballers, Archetypes introduce new player classes in Clubs and Player Career, each with unique attribute paths and unlockable perks. It’s never been easier—or more fun—to carve out your own football identity.
