When WEC middleweight champion Paulo Filho missed weight, his bout against Chael Sonnen was deemed a non-title affair. Sonnen would go on to win, avenging a previous loss to the champ, but with no gold to show for it. In an act of contrition, Filho would mail his belt to the man who bested him.
