How to Play It Takes Two with a Friend on Nintendo Switch

Find out how to bring your co-op skills to the new platform.

It Takes Two is coming to Nintendo Switch™! Starting November 4, 2022*, grab a friend to experience the thrilling adventure built purely for two. 

Want to test your co-op skills with one person flying a plane while the other is fighting a squirrel? Here’s how Switch players can take on the challenge: 

  • Couch co-op with a separate set of Joy-Cons or a controller per player
  • Local wireless play by connecting two Nintendo Switch consoles 
  • Online co-op with another Nintendo Switch player

Also, don’t forget that with Friend’s Pass**, those that own the game can invite another to play for free!

* Based on time zone differences across regions, It Takes Two will be coming to the Nintendo Switch™ on November 4, 2022 for the majority of regions, or November 5, 2022 for Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. 

** Friend’s Pass requires installation of the Friend’s Pass and applicable platform account. Online play requires a friend on the same platform. One user must own the full game in order for the co-op player to play the full game.
