ITEM GUIDE

FIFA 23 Ultimate Team lets you build your dream squad from thousands of players around the world. In FUT, players are represented by Player Items - special shields that show off each player’s unique in-game ratings and attributes.

Every base player in FUT is Bronze, Silver, or Gold, and has a Common or Rare designation. CONMEBOL players are unique in being represented as a ""Special"" item design, but behave the same as Bronze, Silver, or Gold players. In addition to these item types, there are also other Special Item designs which recognise select players’ real-world past or present achievements, performances, or their participation in various tournaments, as well as prestigious ICON items for some of football’s greatest ever players and new FUT Heroes items for the game's most memorable players.

FUT also includes an in-game quality filter to help you to search for specific versions of players on the Transfer Market, meaning you’ll be able to search for players by their item type making it easier to search for and sign new players with multiple Special Items.

RARITY

COMMON

The majority of players in FIFA Ultimate Team are classified as Common Bronze, Silver, or Gold, and do not possess the same level of standout attributes or characteristics that Rare players hold.

RARE

Players who have standout attributes or characteristics compared to similar players in their position or league, or have outstanding international reputation may be classified as Rare in FIFA Ultimate Team.

BASE ITEMS

BRONZE

The basic item type for current players with a FIFA 23 overall rating of 64 or below, available in Common and Rare variants.

SILVER

The basic item type for current players with a FIFA 23 overall rating of between 65 and 74, available in Common and Rare variants.

GOLD

The basic item type for current players with a FIFA 23 overall rating of 75 or above, available in Common and Rare variants.

ICONS

The greatest footballers in the history of the sport. ICON items come in Base, Mid, and Prime versions reflecting a particular era of their career.

FUT HEROES

Football's most memorable players and fan-favourites return to the pitch as FUT Heroes in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. FUT Heroes items come in base versions, as well as FIFA World Cup™ versions for select FUT Heroes which will be released in the build up to the FIFA World Cup 2022™.

REAL-WORLD FOOTBALL

CONMEBOL LIBERTADORES AND CONMEBOL SUDAMERICANA

Special Items for players taking part in the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana.

TEAM OF THE WEEK

The best players from each week of league football are celebrated with In Form items recognising their outstanding real-world performances.

FUT CAMPAIGNS

ONES TO WATCH

A collection of the biggest real-world transfers from the world of football are recognised with dynamic items featuring stats that upgrade when the player is recognised with a qualifying performance-based Special item like Team of the Week.

ROAD TO THE KNOCKOUTS

Each Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) player item has the potential for two further upgrades based on how their team performs throughout the remainder of the Group Stages.

OUT OF POSITION

Find a new set of players in-game now, with new main and alternate positions and attributes changes that give them the ability to perform in their new role, as well as the potential for changes to their preferred foot, weak foot, skill moves, and work rates.

PATH TO GLORY

Take your Ultimate Team to the next level with Path to Glory players that upgrade as their nations progress through the FIFA World Cup™.

FIFA WORLD CUP™ PLAYER ITEM

A special limited time item for players who have featured in their national team's squad in the run up to the FIFA World Cup 2022™. Collect these items up until January 4 to earn rewards, after which date they will be removed from FIFA Ultimate Team™.

PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE MONTH

A special item with boosted stats awarded to the winner of the Premier League Player of the Month.

BUNDESLIGA PLAYER OF THE MONTH

A special item with boosted stats awarded to the winner of the Bundesliga Player of the Month.

LIGUE 1 UBER EATS PLAYER OF THE MONTH

A special item with boosted stats awarded to the winner of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats Player of the Month.

LALIGA SANTANDER PLAYER OF THE MONTH

A special item with boosted stats awarded to the winner of the LaLiga Santander Player of the Month.

EREDIVISIE PLAYER OF THE MONTH

A special item with boosted stats awarded to the winner of the Eredivisie Player of the Month.

SERIE A TIM PLAYER OF THE MONTH

A special item with boosted stats awarded to the winner of the Serie A TIM Player of the Month.

STORYLINE

Boosted versions of players that are attainable by completing season objectives in FUT.

FUT CHAMPIONS REWARD ITEMS

Special red items awarded as weekly FUT Champions rewards.

TEAL ITEM

A unique 99-rated item given to a real world professional footballers who are EA SPORTS FIFA Ambassadors or who play for EA SPORTS FIFA partner clubs.
