Accessible Games Initiative Tags is now available on EA platforms

2 novembre 2026

Choosing a game that's right for you shouldn't require guesswork. Accessibility tags identify whether a game includes a specific accessibility feature. They're designed to help you quickly understand what's available before you play.

Electronic Arts is a proud founding member of the Accessible Games Initiative, an industry-wide effort to make accessibility information easier to find and easier to understand.

Together with other participating game companies, we developed and adopted a shared set of accessibility tags that use consistent, player-friendly language to describe game accessibility features.

Find games that meet your accessibility needs.

Whether you're looking for subtitles, narrated menus, customizable controls, or other accessibility features, these tags help you understand what's available before you play.

"This milestone is the result of half a decade of dedication from accessibility experts, developers, and UI designers across our industry," says Amy Lazarus, Director of Games for All at EA. "It's incredibly exciting to see these tags go live. They represent a collective commitment to making games truly welcoming and accessible for all players."

How it works

Why the Accessible Games Initiative Matters

Until now, every publisher has described Accessibility features a little differently. That made it harder for players to compare games or know what to expect before purchasing or downloading.

The Accessible Games Initiative brings together game companies, accessibility experts, and members of the disability community to create a shared set of accessibility tags. By using common terminology across participating companies, we're making accessibility information more consistent, easier to understand, and simpler to compare.

"By aligning on a shared language, we are taking the guesswork out of the player experience," says Amy. "The goal of this initiative is simple: whether you are playing a title from EA, Ubisoft, Xbox, or any other participating studio or publisher, you should be able to find the exact same, reliable accessibility information without jumping through hoops."

EA is proud to be part of this collaborative effort because better information helps players make more informed choices. Learn more about the industry announcement behind the Accessible Games Initiative.

What the Tags Tell You

Accessibility tags identify whether a game includes a specific accessibility feature. They're designed to help you quickly understand what's available before you play.

The tags are:

  • Consistent across participating companies
  • Easy to recognize and understand
  • Focused on helping players make informed decisions

The tags are NOT:

  • An overall rating of how accessible a game is
  • An overall accessibility endorsement
  • A guarantee that the available features will meet every player’s individual access needs

Accessibility is personal, and every player experiences games differently. The tags provide reliable information about available features so you can decide what works best for you.

Accessibility features and the information associated with them may change through future game updates. Explore the complete list of accessibility tags and definitions.

Accessibility Is an Ongoing Journey

As our games evolve, so do their accessibility features.

"We look at the launch of these game tags as a starting point, not a destination," says Amy. "As we gather feedback from the player community and continue supporting developers, our focus remains on reducing barriers so that anyone who wants to play can find a positive, welcoming experience."

We'll continue working to improve both our games and the information we provide so players can make informed decisions about the experiences that are right for them.

Supporting the Accessible Games Initiative is one part of EA's broader commitment to creating experiences that more players can enjoy.
