Get your head in the Galactic Games Event

Welcome to the Galactic Games, Legends! Consider this your invitation to three weeks of wild times in the Outlands. Wildcard has been updated with a new, aptly named, Wild Card mechanic—giving you a chance to change the tides with new craftables and limited-time variants for the event. Test your grip and grit with the Grand Slam Bat, available in Wildcard Care Packages during the event. You’ll have a chance to unlock a universal melee variant of the Bat alongside all-star skins for fan favorite Legends and Legendary skins for the R-301, Flatline, and more as you progress through the event. It’s yeet or be yeeted from August 19 to September 9, 2025.

GALACTIC GAMES IN WILDCARD

Get ready to knock Legends out of the ring with the Grand Slam Bat—available for everyone for a limited time in Wildcard, no unlocking required. This ultimate choice for fans of hefty melee damage also deals knock backs and an even bigger launch after the third successful hit with the potential to impact multiple enemies. Available in Wildcard Care Packages for the duration of the event.

Replicators have been refreshed with a new craftable to help take the edge off: Wild Cards. Craft and activate these little beauties for access to powerful abilities like wall-running, extra melee knockback, or bonus melee damage. You’ll unlock a new slot at the start of Rounds 1, 2, and 3, allowing you to equip up to three Wild Cards of your choosing to help you reach the podium. Here’s our Wild Card team stepping up to the plate for this limited-time event:

• Mad Dash: gain a dash ability
• Recharger: recharge shields while running
• Personal Space: melee knockback is increased
• Hard Hitter: melee damage is increased
• Status Report: reveal enemy locations on knock
• Wall Runner: gain the ability to Wall-Run
• Speedy Charge: Tactical and Ultimate abilities charge faster

Much like Wildcard itself, this new mechanic will be sticking around and receiving updates as we continue to play in this new ground. Step up to bat while you can, Wildcard returns to its core experience September 9-15, 2025.

REWARD SHOP

Earn Honor by completing daily event challenges, then check out the Galactic Games Reward Shop to redeem for rewards and check your progress with all four event badges. Offerings will rotate halfway through the event.

EVENT ITEMS

Godlike limited-time cosmetics are up for grabs as you progress through the Galactic Games Event, including Legendary skins for Seer, Sparrow, Gibraltar, and more. Each item received counts towards bonus rewards that are automatically unlocked at milestones along the way including Exotic Shards.

All items will be available as possible drops in Galactic Games Event Packs† for the duration of the event, with each pack having a chance to unlock the new universal melee, Grand Slam Bat. Each event pack contains one event item and two standard items, and there are no duplicates of event items in these packs.

The Grand Slam Bat that you’ll add to your collection functions similarly to other universal melee items, so it won’t be quite as hefty as its Wildcard variant, but it does have a bit of visual fire when it’s equipped. Customizations for this new universal melee will be available for Exotic Shards with three different skins and the matching Death Box.

CREATOR HUB

Since its launch in November 2024, the Apex Legends Creator Hub has grown to include a plethora of creators that span the globe and a variety of content. Our mission to engage with you and your communities is constantly evolving, including some Creator Hub exclusives like our recently announced Creators Codes, early access to play the season early, and support for your community events.

We’ve got a couple things dropping hot and we’d hate for you to miss out. If you’re dedicated to making great content and building amazing communities, today’s the perfect day to join. Applications are regularly reviewed and we’re admitting global creators of all sizes, styles, and content genres. 

PATCH NOTES: RECENT UPDATES & FIXES

Here are some updates and fixes from our most recent patches:

• Accolades
  • Compact mode now mutes audio queues as intended
  • First-class medic accolade no longer missing
• Amps: added icon to enemy health bars for increased awareness
• Auras: now display correct Rank when equipped in Unranked modes
• Bangalore: Tac no longer destroys deployables through walls
• Wildcard: interacting with Replicators immediately after landing should no longer occasionally break the Replicator

ON OUR RADAR

Here’s a couple of the open issues that we’ve seen some community chatter around that are currently being worked on. Stay up to date with our progress on these issues and more on our public Trello board.

• Accolades: after temporarily being turned off, these have now been restored. We appreciate your ongoing feedback on this new feature and we have some updates in progress for later this season.
• Storm Point Loot Bins: some are occasionally spawning inside decor or inaccessible areas.
• Challenge progress in Mixtape: some challenges are currently not correctly tracking progress made in Mixtape modes.
