## **Opening Packs**

- Load into CUT and open your Welcome Pack. You&#39;ll see a screen displaying your new player card, such as Keldric Faulk.


- Notice the new information presented beneath the card’s highlight attributes, showing how your team compares to this potential new addition.

## **Comparing Player** 

- Quickly compare key ratings between the new player and your current team without using the Compare feature in the item binder.


- Determine instantly if the new player is an upgrade for your starter squad.

## **Detailed Player Information**

- Use the right stick to flip the item and reveal more details about the player, including additional attributes, height, weight, abilities, and card chemistry.

## **Challenge Goals**

- After upgrading your squad, enter a challenge and observe the quality of life improvement where challenge goals are displayed directly at the playcall.


- This feature eliminates the need to pause the game to check goals, keeping them front and center for easy tracking.

College Football 26 Ultimate Team Improvements


After selecting your position, star level, and archetype for your Road to Glory player, you&#39;ll start your journey in high school with the new moments system. 

Each week, you&#39;ll choose a limited number of moments to complete and earn tape scores. 

These moments have different multipliers based on what schools value, so you&#39;ll need to strategically select them to accumulate enough tape score for scholarship offers. 

Avoid waiting too long, or you&#39;ll end up with schools that have passed you by.

Once you&#39;ve picked your moments, you&#39;ll load into the game and aim to achieve your drive goals. You&#39;ll have a limited number of retries, so choose moments that challenge you but aren&#39;t too conservative, or you might end up as a walk-on at your preferred school. 

Experiencing running on the field for the first time is something special, so I&#39;ll leave that excitement for you to discover.

Your recruiting board shows how close you are to earning a scholarship offer. 

For example, Rutgers might have offered you, while Ole Miss is still out of reach. Some moments carry multipliers for specific schools, so focusing on maximizing tape scores for a particular school can help you catch up in time.

You can reorder the board by holding R2 or RT and remove schools by holding the triangle or Y button. If you know the substitution you want to make, click X or A to swap them directly.

## **Ultimate Team Lineup Management!**
### **Access Your Team**

- Begin at the main Ultimate Team landing screen under Game Modes.
- Use R1 or RB to navigate to the &quot;My Team&quot; section.

Here, you’ll find the Lineup option where most adjustments are made. The screen is now cleaner and easier to use.
### **Manage Your Team**

Use L and R1 or the Xbox bumpers to switch between Offense, Defense, Special Teams, Specialists, and Playbooks/Visuals.

Customize your team’s uniforms, home stadium, coach, and playbooks in the Playbooks/Visuals tab.

On the left, use the vertical column to automatically generate your best lineup.

CFB 26 Ultimate Team Lineup Management


Once you&#39;ve configured your RTG settings, imported your custom Team Builder into High School, and set up your custom conferences, you&#39;ll choose your star level. This decision affects the quality of player you start with and influences how challenging it will be to climb the depth chart.

After selecting your position, you&#39;ll encounter the Archetypes screen. Here, you&#39;ll see various player archetypes and their tradeoffs for the first time. The concept is straightforward: you can&#39;t excel at everything. 

As you browse through the HB archetypes, consider these elements:

1. Initial Ratings: Your starting ratings are shown by bronze-filled blocks.
2. Maximum Skill Level: Indicates the highest level you can achieve in each skill group.
3. Blocked Boxes: These mark skills that your chosen archetype cannot progress beyond.


You&#39;ll need to weigh the benefits and drawbacks of each archetype for long-term development. 

Beyond ratings, player archetypes also define the abilities you can develop during your collegiate football career.

Players can cultivate up to 6 Physical and 6 Mental Abilities.

While there might be overlap, aligning your play style with abilities that enhance your strengths and minimize your archetype&#39;s tradeoffs is crucial for building your character.

In College Football 26, understanding player archetypes through RTG experience can help maximize your dynasty&#39;s potential. Every player has an archetype to develop, and knowing where your players will excel or face challenges (by matching their archetypes to your scheme) will be essential for success.

## **Navigating the Menu** 

- From the main landing page in Dynasty mode, select the coach tab.
- Click into the abilities section to find your coaching skill tree.

- Your skill points are tracked by the C coin in the upper right corner.
- Invest these points to enhance your coach&#39;s abilities.

## **Choosing Your Archetype** 

- Start by selecting one of three archetypes: Recruiter, Tactician, or Motivator.
- As a Recruiter, you&#39;ll need to reach level 10 to unlock certain abilities.

Hybrid archetypes require points in multiple areas to unlock. Plan your path carefully to access these unique abilities.

At the top of the skill tree, find Program Builder and CEO branches.These require significant points and long-term goals but offer major benefits.
## **Considering Archetype Costs**

Upgrading within your chosen archetype costs fewer points than branching out. Look for hidden abilities that can reduce costs or offer discounts.
## **Strategic Planning** 

 Plan your skill tree development to maximize strengths and minimize weaknesses. Each archetype provides different bonus XP opportunities for your Dynasty play. 
## **Adapting to Updates**

Note that ability tracks have been tuned and adjusted this year. Experiment with different builds as the META has changed, rewarding creativity and planning.

Accessing Your Coach's Skill Tree in Dynasty Mode


In Road to Glory mode, you&#39;ll start at a screen where you can import a High School Team Builder. 

However, this is the end goal, not the starting point. 

First, you&#39;ll need to download a Team Builder since the download center is initially empty.

To do this, go to the main menu and select the &quot;Create and Share&quot; section to access the download center. 

Once the game is available and teams are uploaded, you can search for and download your preferred team or a community creation. 

After downloading, you can import the team at the starting screen.

How to Import a High School Team Builder into Road to Glory


Your College Football 26 Road to Glory journey begins in two ways:

**1. You can start as a High School Recruit**

- Play through key moments.
- Build your recruiting tape and earn scholarship offers.


**2. You can jump Straight into College:**

- Turn off High School and start directly in College.
- You will find this option when launching Road to Glory by checking the settings box.

## **In College you can:**

- **Choose Your Star Rating:** Elite, Blue Chip, Contributor, or Underdog.
- **Pick Your Position and Archetype:** Each has unique traits and strengths.
- **Define Your Player:** Who you are and what you bring to the game.

## **Your College Life:**

- Manage your time effectively each week.
- Coach Trust will get you on the field.
- Coach Happiness will keep you there.


If you play well, and lead, you will move up the depth chart. If you struggle or slack off, your coach will let you know.
## **On the Field:**

- Every rep and snap is graded.
- Execute well to grow faster.
- Watch out for wear and tear over time


**Achievements:** 

Track your achievements in the Trophy Room and reflect on your college career.
## **NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) Offers:**

- Earn skill points through the right deals.
- Decide between training harder or building your brand.

## Challenge Your Friends Across Consoles!

EA SPORTS™ College Football 26 supports cross-play between PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. Compete with friends and other players in four exciting game modes:

**1. Online Dynasty:**

- Up to 32 players can compete in one league.
- Cross-play is on by default, but commissioners can turn it off.


**2. Road to the College Football Playoff:**

- Head-to-head online action.
- Cross-play is always on.


**3. College Football Ultimate Team:**

- Full cross-play competition as you build and battle with your squad.


**4. Play a Friend:**

- Directly challenge players on a different console.

## Getting Started with Cross-Play

**1. Setup:**

- Ensure you&#39;re connected to the internet.
- Install the latest game update.
- Link your EA Account to your PlayStation® or Xbox profile.


**2. Settings:** 

- Go to the main menu and open **Settings**.  
- Navigate to **Game Settings**, scroll to **Cross-play**, and ensure it&#39;s turned on.  
- It should be enabled by default, but you can change it here if needed.

Welcome to Year 2 of Road to Glory and the start of your recruiting journey. This tape? It’s your shot to impress. Every snap, every challenge, every play matters. College scouts are watching, so make it count.

If you created a high school team in Team Builder, now’s the time to bring them in. Load up your squad, rep your colors, and make the journey yours, from the very first snap.

Every player&#39;s path starts somewhere. Your first decision? Do you want the stars handed to you or are you ready to fight for them? Elite. Blue Chip. Contributor. Underdog. You set the stakes in the climb that comes with it.

Next, choose your position: Quarterback, halfback, wide receiver, mike linebacker, or cornerback. It&#39;s your game. Play it your way.

Next up, it&#39;s time to define how you play by choosing your archetype. This year, Road to Glory has even more options to match your style. At quarterback, you might stand tall as a Pocket Passer, or keep them guessing running the option as a Pure Scrambler. At cornerback, you can jam routes as a Bump and Run CB, or lock down the edge as a Boundary Corner. Every archetype has its strengths. Pick one that fits how you want to win.

Before each game, your coach sets the tone with a handful of key moments that could define your tape. These aren&#39;t just plays; they&#39;re opportunities. Nail them, and they make your reel. Every moment adds to your Tape Score, and that’s what scouts care about. That&#39;s what gets you seen.

Transforming short plays into game-breaking touchdowns requires mastering ball carrier moves. Whether you&#39;re catching the ball or executing a designed run, these techniques are key to gaining explosive yards.
## **Spin Moves**

- Basic Spin: Tap the Circle button to perform a quick spin in your current direction. 
- Extended Spin: Hold the Turbo button (R2) while tapping Circle for a longer, exaggerated spin. This move is perfect for cutting upfield and evading defenders.

## **Jukes**

- Basic Juke: Flick the right stick in the direction you want to cut. 
- Enhanced Juke: Hold R2 while flicking the right stick for a more dramatic juke, increasing your chances of outmaneuvering defenders. 
- Double Juke: Quickly flick the right stick one way and then the other. This move is especially effective if your player has a juke move rating of at least 94.

The right audible can win the play before the ball is even snapped — here’s how to use them.  

- Press Square to open the audible menu, and you’ll be greeted with four different options to switch to in your formation. 
- You can now customize these audibles in the playcall menu by selecting your play by formation. 
- Find the formation you want, select it, then press Left Trigger. 
- From there, choose the play you want to replace and swap it with the one you want to use instead. 
- Your changes will save automatically — no need to set them again every game. 
- You can also audible across different formations, not just the one you started in, by opening the audible menu and navigating to selectable formations with the D-pad. But you can only audible to formations with the same personnel — so if you&#39;re in a 3 WR set, you can’t switch to one with 2 WRs.

Tap X or A when the icon is as close to the middle green area as possible to lock in your accuracy. 

From there, what happens next depends on your control scheme.

- If you’re using tap and hold, you need to hold and let go of the X/A button to lock in your power. 
- But if you’re using tap and tap, you’re going to tap X/A again to lock in your power. 


Either way, you want to get it as close to the top without getting in the red. If you do get it in the red, the kick will often be inaccurate.
