The Madden NFL 18 Bowl was one for the history books, and the spectacular finish won’t soon be forgotten. If you missed any of the action from the weekend, catch up with this in-depth recap. Now that we’ve had some time to digest just how epic it was, let’s take a moment to re-live the day via some of the best tweets surrounding the event.
But, first things first, you’re going to want to watch the entire Madden Bowl because it was absolutely insane. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re probably aware that 20-year-old Shay “Young Kiv” Kivlen took home the Madden NFL 18 championship title. But if you don’t have time to watch the whole game, I totally get it (well, I don’t really get it – cause it’s awesome! But watch it at some point, if not immediately). With that, we’ll start with a few highlights.
Here’s a look back at the fourth quarter.
If you’re short on time, enjoy this condensed version.

Let’s now rewind to the morning of the big game. Young Kiv appeared on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” alongside Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and noted gamer, Juju Smith-Schuster. The thing about Adam Rank is, the man has good ideas. We see you, Rank.
This should be a show. Where NFL players take on Madden pros.— Adam Rank (@adamrank) April 28, 2018
Juju was pumped to meet Young Kiv, even though Kiv demolished him in Madden NFL 18 on live television.
Here’s a little behind the scenes shot with the “Good Morning Football” hosts watching Juju and Young Kiv duke it out in Madden NFL 18.
Young Kiv’s fans were watching as he became instantly famous.
Time to get serious. Check out that hardware.
Young Kiv was off to a dominant start in the Conference Championship game against Abbott “Blocky” Lopez. Meanwhile, our broadcasters were dealing with harsh conditions.
Support for Young Kiv came flooding in from the Madden NFL community after his win over Blocky, guaranteeing him a berth in the Championship game. Greatness recognizes greatness.
Crazy thing is. @young_kiv defense is more impressive than his offense and that is scary for everyone. One game away from becoming the Champ.— PROBLEM (@ProblemWright) April 28, 2018
Great season for @Blocky305 . This was his first year competing and he is in the Final 4 of the biggest event. Future is bright!
Folks were more than impressed as Young Kiv headed to the title game with confidence.
The stage was set, and our broadcasters Scott Cole and RG Glick got comfortable with Juju in the announcer’s booth.
Time for some gameplay action. Young Kiv, a Seattle native and Seahawks fan could teach his favorite team a little something about running the ball at the goal line.
After an unforgettable finish, Young Kiv hoisted his very first Madden Championship Series belt.
Kiv even got a little trash-talk in with Juju after the big win. The kid’s got swag oozing out of his ears.
After the game, many of the Madden Ultimate League competitors chimed in with well-deserved congratulations for the champ. Displaying good sportsmanship, even Drini “Drini” Gjoka congratulated his opponent, though it probably hurt.
Great game to kiv. He deserves it. My Hearts Broken rn.— Drini Gjoka (@YoungDrini) April 29, 2018
Blocky, who Young Kiv defeated in a shutout during the Conference Championship, showed some love too.
Congrats to @young_kiv, he definitely deserves this belt. Very cool dude, glad he was able to finally reach his goal. Been consistently at the elite level for a while, simply impressive.— Abbott Lopez (@Blocky305) April 29, 2018
And Eli “True” Clayton, who was knocked out by Drini in the other Conference Championship game, shared some behind the scenes footage of the big moment.
True followed up with his congratulations.
Words can't even describe how happy I am for my bro man. He really did it dog. Went through the Fluke all year and still came out on top no one is more deserving! LETS GOOOOOO @young_kiv #TOPMADDDDDENNNNNNNN— True (@True__818) April 29, 2018
Young Kiv let his emotions fly, and he clearly was feeling the moment.

Juju was feeling it, too.
Some of the other Madden Ultimate League competitors shared their thoughts on Young Kiv’s victory.

Congrats to @young_kiv . Best player I played all year. Now he’s the Madden 18 Champion.— Noble SteveyJ (@ImSteveyJ) April 29, 2018
Truly happy for @young_kiv. He’s been way too good at the game these past few years to not have a belt and he finally got it. Definitely someone I model my game after and learn from by just watching him play. Congrats.— Noble Prodigy (@ThePrxdigyy) April 29, 2018
Congrats @young_kiv it was only a matter of time. Top player year in and year out. By far the best I played all year.— Taylor Robertson (@spotmeplzzz) April 29, 2018
The next day, Young Kiv took some time to reflect on what he had accomplished and just how monumental this moment was. What a day. What season. Well said, Young Kiv!
Yesterday was so amazing. S/o to @gmfb for having me their show. S/o to @EASPORTS for putting all of this together. I’m so grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me. Just wanna say thanks 🙏 pic.twitter.com/7jFo7csODC— Kiv (@young_kiv) April 29, 2018
