The Sims Teams Up with Ironhack

Take control of your future.

Hey, Simmers! We have a special announcement for you: The Sims™ has teamed up with Ironhack to send you to school. Together, we’re giving away scholarships to attend a nine-week bootcamp in honor of The Sims 4 Discover University*. While your Sims head off to learn at the Foxbury Institute, you can do the same at one of nine Ironhack campuses worldwide.

Ironhack is an international tech and design school providing intensive courses in Web Development, UX/UI Design, and Data Analytics. Students of their nine-week bootcamps gain the high-demand skills utilized in all tech-related industries—including video games like The Sims.

Which Courses Are Offered?

The Sims x Ironhack scholarship program allows you to attend a bootcamp in Web Development, UX/UI Design, or Data Analytics at any of the campuses that offer your choice. To help you decide which path is right for you—part-time or full-time; Web Development or Data Analytics—we’ve gathered up all the juicy details about each course ahead.

Web Development

For aspiring web developers, this track helps you learn the fundamentals of programming languages like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, plus lets you utilize tools and libraries such as React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. In addition to the classes themselves, you’ll complete three projects and occasionally work with others in pair programming sessions. By the end of the term, you’ll have the chance to build a full-stack web app.

UX/UI Design

If you want to become a UX/UI designer, this program teaches you user-centered design through the application of the design thinking process. User research, prototyping, user testing, and heuristic evaluation are used to validate your ideas, and you’ll prototype your solutions using visual and interaction design techniques with UI and IxD.

Data Analytics

For those who prefer data analytics, you can learn how to clean and explore a wide variety of datasets. Dive deep into serious works in data analytics with Pandas to turn your data into amazing visualizations for storytelling purposes, then wrap everything up with machine learning and apply your learnings to datasets in the real world.

When to Apply

Now is the time to focus on your own education!
