The Inaugural EA Positive Player Award Is Now Open For Voting

The EA Positive Player Award launched on July 5, 2023. The intention of the award is to model how games can bring out the best in us, by recognizing esports competitors who show commitment to fair and inclusive play with outstanding sportspersonship towards teammates, opponents, the league, and fans.

ALGS Esport competitors and coaches were invited to nominate players who they believe consistently showed positive sportspersonship throughout the ALGS season. We received over 120 nominations for 29 competitors. The final nominees were reviewed by a panel of inclusive play and esports representatives from Apex Legends™ and Electronic Arts who chose 6 finalists. 

We want to hear from our community. Cast your vote for who you think deserves to win EA's inaugural Positive Player Award.

• Voting Period: August 10 - August 28, 2023 on this page.
• Winner Announcement: September 10 at ALGS Year 3 Championships.

At Electronic Arts, we believe in the positive power of play. Our community is made up of passionate players from around the world, and we want to recognize those individuals who demonstrate fair and inclusive play towards one another as we feel they deserve to be honored on a global scale.

Nominations closed with an overwhelming list of nominees on July 21. The award panel reviewed the eligible individuals, selecting six finalists, and the winner will be revealed during this year’s ALGS Championships.

We appreciate all of our players and look forward to honoring members of our ALGS community and The Positive Player Award finalists later this summer.
