In the second defense of his featherweight strap, Alexander Volkanovski had his hands full with the ultra-tough and wiley Brian Ortega. Volk miraculously survived multiple submission attempts before taking it to Ortega and scoring a decisive decision victory in a thrilling Fight of the Night effort.

Alexander Volkanovski (UFC 266)


You can never count Brian Ortega out. After struggling to break through Volkanovski’s defenses for much of their encounter, Ortega snatched a nasty guillotine choke that turned the champ’s head bright red before he managed a stunning escape. It was a valiant effort from the challenger, even in defeat.
