August 28, 2025
It’s A Dual!
In the latest in our Madden Mobile 101 series, where we break down specific modes and features in Madden NFL 26 Mobile.
Today we’re looking to double our fun and dig into Dual Player Cards!
Dual Player Cards are a new feature in Madden NFL 26 Mobile this year, offering players a new level of flexibility in building their Ultimate Team lineup, by combining two players in one card.
How Do Dual Player Cards Work?
Dual Players are a unique type of player card that represents two different players in a single item. This means a single card can fill one of two different positions on your roster, providing more versatility and strategic options. For example, a single card might feature two players, like a QB Lamar Jackson and a WR Zay Flowers. This allows you to deploy the card as either a quarterback or a wide receiver, depending on your team's needs.
Some Dual Player Cards may feature a single player who can be used at their primary position and also in an "Out of Position" (OOP) role, such as a WR/KR Ja'Marr Chase card. This gives you more value from a single card and ensures it remains useful even if you get a higher-rated player at one of the positions.
There’s one Dual Player Card dropped alongside every Live Event in Madden NFL 26 Mobile, including the current one Campus Heroes, where you have your shot at a Charles Woodson and Reggie Bush Dual Player Card!
This Dual Player Card is a single card that can be used as a CB Charles Woodson or a HB Reggie Bush depending on how you want to use it!
How to Switch Between Dual Players
The process for switching between the two players on a Dual Player Card is straightforward. When you add the card to your lineup, you simply place it in the position you want it to play.
- Example: If you have the QB Lamar Jackson/WR Zay Flowers card and want to use it as a quarterback, you place it in the QB slot in your lineup. The game will automatically recognize it as Lamar Jackson.
- To switch to the other player, you first remove the card from the QB slot. Then, navigate to the WR position and place the card in a wide receiver slot. The card will now function as Zay Flowers.
This on-the-fly positional change allows you to adapt your team strategy easily, especially as you acquire new players. If you get a better QB, your Dual Player Card doesn't become obsolete; you can simply swap it over to its other position to strengthen a different part of your lineup.
Can I Use Both Dual Players in My Lineup at the Same Time?
Yes, you can use both players from a Dual Player Card in your lineup simultaneously, but this requires acquiring a second copy of that specific card.
You cannot use a single Dual Player Card in two positions at once.
When you get both Mythic Dual Cards, each card gets a +2 Overall Rating (OVR) boost. Getting only one of the two Mythic Dual Cards provides a +1 OVR boost to that card.
Iconic Dual Cards follow a similar structure, but with a duration limit. Each card receives a +2 OVR boost when you have both, and a +1 OVR boost if you have only one.
These boosts, however, will only last for 30 days.
