Swing Mechanic

Select an option to choose the gameplay mechanic used for all swing-based shot types. This option includes Left Stick and Right Stick. Left Stick will execute the swing with the left stick. Right stick will execute the swing with the right stick. The default is set to Left Stick.

Putting Mechanic

Select an option to choose the gameplay mechanic used for all putt-based shot types. This option includes Left Stick and Right Stick. Left Stick will execute the swing with the left stick. Right stick will execute the swing with the right stick. The default is set to Left Stick.

Gameplay Style

Pre-defines all the below gameplay settings to specific options to create a specific type of gameplay experience. The options include Arcade, Pro, Tour, Sim, and Custom. Arcade is perfect for the players that are new to golf. Pro is a balanced experience in terms of challenge vs highlights. Tour requires good mechanics and course management. Sim is for players looking for a hardcore simulation experience. Custom allows you to customize options to create your ideal experience.

Swing Difficulty

Choose how difficult it is to execute the selected Swing Mechanic. The options include Easy, Normal, and Hard. Easy is the most forgiving swing difficulty. Normal uses standard tuning for all gameplay factors. Hard requires the most precision to yield positive results on the course. The default is set to Normal.

Putting Difficulty

Choose how difficult it is to execute the selected Putting Mechanic. The options include Easy, Normal, and Hard. Easy is the most forgiving swing difficulty. Normal uses standard tuning for all gameplay factors. Hard requires the most precision to yield positive results on the course. The default is set to Normal.

Swing Meter

Visualizes the path and length of the swing around the golfer and gives feedback while the swing is being executed. The options include On and Off. On shows the specific spot on the backswing to execute the follow through based on placement of the aim marker. Off doesn’t display the Swing Meter. The default is set to On.

Power Boost

Turn On/Off to apply extra power to a shot through button presses in the back swing. This option is set to On. This setting is only valid with Left Stick and RIght Stick Swing Mechanic options.

Spin Control

Turn On/Off to apply a spin modifier via the left stick and button presses to impact how the ball bounces and rolls when it lands. The default is set to On.

Shot Shaping

Impacts the execution of the Swing Mechanic for shots that have Draw or Fade added. This option includes On or Off. On means the backswing requires different swing path angles based on the shape of the shot. Off means the swing path angles are always straight. The default is set to Off.

Lie Effect

Defines the impact of the sidehill slopes on the launch of the ball. Also defines the amount of information shown about the ball lie. This option includes On or Off. On means the sidehill slopes do not impact the launch direction of the show and the ball line is shown as an exact percentage. Off means the sidehill slopes impact the launch direction of the show and the ball line is shown as a range. The default is set to On.

Zoom

Turn On/Off to allow the camera to fly up to the target for more precise aim. The default is set to On.

Aiming Arc

Visualizes the expected ball flight based on shot setup and environmental factors.This option includes Short, Full, and Off. Short means the arc goes to the peak of ball flight. Full means the arc goes to the first collision. Off means no arc is displayed. The default is set to Short.

Putting Aim Point

Places the aim marker at a specific distance once you are on the green. This option includes Assisted Aim and At Cup. Assisted Aim accounts for uphill and downhill slopes to preset the aim to a logical power for the putt. At Cup presets the aim to just past the cup location. The default is set to Assisted Aim.

Putt Read

Turn On/Off to show a line on the green for how the ball will get to the hole if the ball hits on the correct starting line with the correct power. The default is set to On.

Putting Grid

Visualizes the slope of the terrain on the green. The options include On, No Beads, and Off. On will display a grid with moving beads based on the intensity of the slope between each point of the grid. No beads will display a grid without the moving beads. Off will not display a grid. The default is set to On.

Wind Gust

Makes the wind value change constantly while playing the game. The options include On or Off. The default is set to on.

Wind Reading

Shows the wind based on aim direction on the in-game HUD. The options include Full, Direction Only, and Off. Full will display direction and amount of wind displayed. Direction Only will hide direction and only show the amount of wind hidden. Off will not display any information. The default is set to Full.

Elevation

Shows the elevation to the aim location and the pin on the in-game HUD.  The options include Full, Direction Only, and Off. Full will display direction and amount of wind displayed. Direction Only will hide direction and only show the amount of wind hidden. Off will not display any information. The default is set to Full.

Auto Tap-In

AI automatically taps the ball in from short range on the green. The options include 1 Foot, 2 Feet, 3 Feet, and Off. 1 Foot triggers at 1 foot from the cup or less. 2 Feet triggers at 2 feet from the cup or less. 3 Feet triggers at 3 feet from the cup or less. Off means auto tap-in is turned off. The default is set to Off.

Mulligan

Allows you to retry a shot at any point after a shot is hit via a button press up until you advance to the next shot. This option includes On or Off. The default is set to Off.
