Pearlbeak
Ecology
There is a school of thought among zoologists that developing young Kemono are strongly influenced by their diets. Though the Shiromatoi, or Pearlbeak, looks identical to the Fumebeak as a hatchling, the two mature very differently, with those fed on carrion becoming the black Fumebeaks, and those fed primarily on seafood becoming white Pearlbeaks. The latter's gleaming plumage is perhaps a product of its coastal upbringing.
Strategy
The Pearlbeak emits dazzling beams of light to blind and disorientate, but if you can block the light somehow, you won't lose your vision. Try to predict the Kemono's moves and hide in the shadow of a natural obstacle or conjure a bulwark or other Karakuri to protect yourself. After the blinding light, the Pearlbeak briefly leaves itself wide open to attack. If you manage to avoid being blinded, that's your chance to strike.
