There’s Never Been a Better Time to play Battlefield 1
If you’re new to Battlefield™ 1, you might have heard of the game through the player and critic praise it has received since last year’s premiere. This is humbling for us at DICE – but it is also only the beginning. With releases of expansion packs, monthly updates, and in-game events, there’s never been a better time to play Battlefield 1.
What is Battlefield 1?
Battlefield 1 continues the iconic rock-paper-scissors multiplayer of the Battlefield series. Master the unique strengths and weaknesses of the different soldier classes in your fights on land, in the air, and at sea. Set at the dawn of all-out warfare, WW1, team play in the several game modes is crucial – and no battle is ever the same.
You’ll climb the ranks, unlock and customize new weapons, take on a thrilling Single Player campaign, and experience new game modes like the epic Operations, and ever-changing fights with cavalry and airship behemoths.
A Wide Variety of Maps – and More Coming
The variety of Battlefield 1 is especially true for the many multiplayer maps you’ll be fighting on. Covering the war’s different fronts, these maps will take you to scorching deserts, dense forests, and muddy trenches. Earlier this year, we released Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass, which included new maps on the Western Front along with the French Army, new weapons, and other content.
We’re adding to this experience later in June, when owners of Battlefield 1 Premium Pass (more on this below) or Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass will get access to the night map Nivelle Nights, followed by the Prise de Tahure map in July.
What Other Expansion Packs are Coming?
Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar – the most extensive Battlefield expansion pack so far – brings the Russian army into the fight and will release in September. The third expansion pack, Turning Tides, will be released in December 2017, followed by Apocalypse in early 2018.

What is Battlefield 1 Premium Pass?
With a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass you’ll get all the expansion packs, early access to them, 14 Superior Battlepacks, new multiplayer maps, new weapons, and more. Learn more at the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass page.
Can I Try Out Battlefield 1 Premium Pass before buying it?
Yes! Currently, our program Premium Friends will be available until Gamescom. Premium Friends lets Premium Pass owners bring their friends in to play on the new maps their friends normally can’t access.
Furthermore, on the back of the release of the Prise de Tahure map in July, we’ll begin something called Premium Trials. When active, Premium Trials will give all players access to maps exclusive to Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners.
