As the unofficial inventor of the “staycation,” Orlando is home to more than theme parks and fanny packs. Known as “The City Beautiful”, Orlando is keeping things at one hundred. The city has over 100 lakes, over 100 parks, over 100 golf courses, over 100 tennis courts, and over 100 miles of paved off-street bike trails. Orlando has hosted 100’s of sporting events over the years including – the NFL Pro Bowl, World Cup Soccer, Olympic Soccer, MLB Spring Training, the NCAA Basketball Championship tournament, NCAA Bowl games, WrestleMania, Arnold Palmer Invitational, as well as regular season games from Orlando’s top two major sports teams – Orlando Magic and Orlando City SC Lions. Along with the theme parks attracting 100’s of thousands of visitors to Orlando each year, it’s the Arts, as well. Orlando is home to one of the world’s largest outdoor art festivals, the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival. Orlando recently constructed a brand new Performing Arts Venue, too, the Dr. Phillips Center, which hosts the Florida Film Festival every year. Our fair city has a vibrant music scene that can accommodate large national acts at the Arena to smaller indie acts at places like The Social, Back Booth, and The Beacham – all located downtown amongst an abundance of restaurants, clubs, bars, and high rise living.
Orlando – come for the games, stay for the fun!
