THE STORY SO FAR
The world is on edge. Major European countries have left NATO, while the United States and its allies grapple with a new political power: the Coalition and its military arm, Pax Armata, a private military company with global reach and ambition. Anyone challenging Pax faces highly-trained, merciless soldiers seeking their fortune, even if they have to scorch the earth to get it. This is the world of Battlefield 6…
WARLORDS: SUPREMACY
After Pax’s last defeat in Germany, and with Alexander Kincaid and many other Pax commanders dead, control of the organization shatters. Pax Armata is weakened, compromised, and prone to paranoia, prompting its commanders in the field to make their own decisions while they wait for Pax’s command structure to rebuild.
Leadership on the ground falls to Tier 1 Pax Special Operatives, who become “warlords” of their own campaigns. While this was not explicitly Pax’s plan, this arrangement incidentally allows for greater flexibility in decision-making while making it harder for NATO forces to target key leaders and weaken Pax command. This ultimately becomes a Pax Armata era known as Warlords: Supremacy.
Seizing the moment, NATO reaches out to one of their best assets – Dagger 1-3. After completing a special assignment following Dagger 1-3’s original campaign against Pax Armata, NATO sends them on the “Railway to Golmud” deep in Tajikistan. Using insider knowledge, Dagger 1-3 is on the hunt for Pax's rogue warlords, who are currently working to control key highways and rail lines that could strangle NATO supply routes.
In Fort Lyndon, the Handler and their QRF begin to piece together intel from all of their investigations so far. From Fort Lyndon’s clandestine testing facility to advanced surveillance at Hagental Base in Germany, the Handler starts to form the theory that VL-7 and NXC are just the beginning of a rapidly escalating global arms and energy race.
The story continues in Battlefield 6 and REDSEC…
EXTREME MEASURES / NIGHTFALL / HUNTER/PREY
Back at Fort Lyndon, enemy forces have managed to get their hands on the VL-7 smoke; while fighting them back, a Handler-directed QRF stumbles upon a secret underground lab known as Defense Testing Complex 3. Further investigation reveals that during the evacuation of Fort Lyndon and Lyndon Beach, the U.S. military failed to secure this highly classified site that tested advanced chemical weaponry, including the explosive NXC and Extreme Measures known as VL-7 smoke.
The Handler and their QRF wrap up their investigation into the complex, pulling together intelligence from this mission, previous operations within Fort Lyndon and Lyndon Beach, and evidence found in Brooklyn. All of this leads to a realization: Pax Armata forces are ready to make a move on NATO’s Hagental Air Base deep in Bavaria.
Under the cover of Nightfall, the Handler and a special operations team discover that a program called Project Veles is Pax Armata’s endgame. Pax Armata managed to obtain Project Veles during the Mukhrovani Base invasion, using it to block NATO satellites from monitoring their movements. Since then, however, NATO forces at Hagental Air Base deployed the Heimdall Program to counter Project Veles’s effects.
For Pax, controlling the German node and shutting down Heimdall brings Veles within reach of full continental activation, granting Pax the ability to permanently blind Europe’s NATO command. The Handler sends the information up the chain that Pax is moving in to take the base, but it arrives too late to alert NATO to protect Hagental.
Pax Armata’s Task Force Vector pushes deep into southern Germany with a calculated strike: seize the NATO Satellite Operations Center, buried beneath the Hagental Base, and control the Contaminated countryside. They succeed, but it triggers NATO’s full-scale VL-7 smoke counteroffensive.
This triggers the events of Hunter/Prey as played out in Operation Augur, NATO crushes Pax Armata with help from the Strix Raiders. Barrelling through Contaminated and reclaiming Hagental Base, Pax Armata can no longer operate unnoticed by NATO forces.
ROGUE OPS / CALIFORNIA RESISTANCE / WINTER OFFENSIVE
After the Battlefield 6 Campaign, the War of 2027 expands across the United States as Pax Armata strikes deep within New York and California. The largest conflict occurs in Fort Lyndon, an active Army base with testing capabilities, and neighboring Lyndon Beach, its supportive garrison town, after the location becomes a lawless free-for-all known as the Redacted Sector (REDSEC).
In the shadows of this sector, an emerging leader - The Handler - is bent on preventing the United States and NATO from surrendering to Pax Armata’s control. Using their extensive military background, the Handler begins sending in tactical orders to their hand-selected quick-reaction force (QRF), uncovering evidence of someone within the CIA influencing Pax’s rise to power…
That greater investigation is sidelined for two more immediate Rogue Ops: first, Pax Armata activates its sleeper cells in the oil-rich Blackwell Fields. Potentially unrelated to this incident, a biochemical explosion occurs in Fort Lyndon, generating a deadly NXC-fueled ring. NATO sends ground forces into the Blackwell Fields while the U.S. military evacuates all civilians from Fort Lyndon and Lyndon Beach, leaving an opening for the Handler to conduct their investigations.
During these conflicts, some Americans refused evacuation and decided to protect their homes instead; this group is led by a California Resistance calling itself the “323.” Inspired by their guerilla tactics in Eastwood, NATO claims the 323 as their allies, but the Handler suspects that this was all part of Pax’s plans: rile up the radical stragglers, get them to reinforce themselves, then use their own equipment against them.
The Handler searches for answers by sending a special operations team to New York, where they confirm suspicions about Pax’s involvement in the scheme. After this Winter Offensive, an elite Pax unit known as Panopticon 8 follows stolen intel to a snowclad Brooklyn, where it discovers NATO’s plans for a horrifying new weapon — a classified hallucinatory smoke called “VL-7” — and NATO’s plan to deploy it in Europe.
CAMPAIGN
When the country of Georgia signs an agreement with Pax Armata, NATO forces prepare to withdraw from Mukhrovani Base, only to be met by a surprise Pax ambush. In the aftermath, only Dylan Murphy survives; he is re-assigned to the elite Marine Raiders unit Dagger 1-3 alongside Haz Carter, Simone “Gecko” Espina, and Cliff Lopez. Handled by Director Melissa Mills of the CIA’s SAC, Dagger 1-3 tracks down Pax Commander Alexander Kincaid, thwarts Pax’s plans across the world, and uncovers the shadowy figures at the heart of this conflict…
